A source close to Lieberman told CNN that Lieberman has the 7,500 signatures necessary to get on the ballot as an independent candidate. 1. It is a shame that he lost. However I would like to state that Harav Matisyohu Solomon Shlit”a told me personally that it is very wrong for frum people to run for public office. So in the end it might be good that he lost and he should not run as an independent.
