Lapid Begins Blaming the Chareidim For Everything

lapidIt appears Finance Minister Yair Lapid will end his term in office the way it began, blaming the chareidim for all that is wrong with Israel and his life. With elections on the horizon, the Yesh Atid party leader is already beginning to depict chareidim in as parasites, alleging “Netanyahu prefers to pay the chareidim – he cut a deal with them”.

Preferring not to accept the blame for his own political shortcomings, his inability to make good on promises to voters and pass his key legislation such as the Zero VAT Bill, Lapid has already begun his election campaign and once again, he is trying paint the chareidi tzibur in a negative light.

Following his meeting with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday night the eve of 10 Kislev, it is clear to Lapid that his VAT bill is not going to pass into law and he is being reined in by the prime minister, who appears to have had more than his share of the finance minister’s threats to topple the coalition.

Ironically the polls show the Likud party will more or less emerge from elections at the same strength the party maintains today while Lapid’s Yesh Atid party, which now has 19 seats, is likely to find itself in the single digits.

  1. “Yesh Atid party, which now has 19 seats, is likely to find itself in the single digits”

Oey vey! What’s going to be with poor little Dovy? What’s he going to do if his street cleaning job is no longer available?

  2. Lapid got his election boost by blaming everything on the Charadim, so now that elections are again upon us, he might as well begin campaigning on the platform that the Charadim are responsible for everything even though we were not included in the government.

  3. The polls suggest that he has gone to far even for his anti-religious “base”, and that in the next kenesset the role of “centrist” will be played by Moshe Kahlon (who until recently was a leader of Likud, and left on fairly amicable terms, at least compared to Livni).

  4. dov lipman is now looking for a job. Shame he gave up his US Passport…. I hear Supersal is looking for stockboys now that they cannot hire illegals.

  5. BLAME, BLAME & BLAME is the name of the GAME!!

Hope society is smarter this time around and realizes he is a rabble-rouser.

  6. wouldn’t it be great if he doesn’t pass the threshold and evaporates into oblivion EXACTLY LIKE HIS FATHER THE רשע ???

  7. Given Rabbi Dov Lipman’s abilities, he will probably find a job that pays a great deal more and is much more fulfilling than commenters 5) and 8) combined and doubled.

  8. In all the bloggings here i see the hate of the seculars is as great as the seculars hate against the hareidim,it bodes no good to both,it could lead to a civil war where both are big loosers

    SHAME ON YOU
    Really?!

    These people care!

as per the rav of Brisk ‘Those who claim to be the greste ohavim, are really the greste son’im’

According to the Gemara ,part of Sina’as Chinam
was “Me’d’lo me’chu” i.e, ‘live and and let live’

It would be far easier for everyone here “to live and and let live” and to rationalize and surely convince themselves as most of the jewish world ‘loves’ to do that that is more “holy”

What do you prefer, leftist so called love?

These are greatest group of ‘love’rs out there

As per Chazon Ish, only through an aggressive tightrope BALANCE between active sinah and ahavah would be repentance of the original tragic sinful root and will finally bring the geulah.

The first Beis HaMikdash was destroyed, despite the multitudes righteous in the generation, BECAUSE there was TOO much TOLERANCE of evil sinners (i.e the guise of achdus)
    cf. Kovetz Ma’amarim

  10. Comment #3 is horrifying and should be removed immediately. It is an insult to the six million Kedoshim, to Holocaust survivors, and to Yidden everywhere. I’m embarrassed that eight hours has passed since that blaspheme has been posted and no one has yet protested. I am also glad that Lapid seems to be on the way out but watch your rhetoric. Let’s be careful here.

  11. Rav Samson Raphael Hirsch was defamed as much as anyone
    as divisive

So it’s more of the same old..

    The maccabees during the

revolution against the greeks were also decried for undermining national cohesivess

So it’s more of the same old..
