Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Stern: I Expected More of the Muslim Clerics

5Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita took part in a visit to the victims of the Duma arson attack that occurred last week. Clerics from other religions joined in the visit to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer Hospital.

Following the event Rabbi Stern expressed disappointment, citing while both sides condemned the attack, the murder of a baby, emphasizing there is no place for bloodshed, he did expect the Muslim clerics to condemn attacks against Jews, explaining for him it was a time for all concerned to condemn violence aimed at anyone. He expected Muslim clerics to openly condemn attacks against Jews, but they did not.

  1. Rabbi Stern–WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED??? THEIR KORAN SAYS IT’S A MITZVAH TZU HARGENEN ALLEH YIDDEN C”V.. RETZICHJA FUHN ZEIER NISHT GLEIBEDIGEH IS A MITZVAH BEI ZEI!!!!!!

  2. Rabbi Stern, Man bites dog makes the headlines. When a Arab is the victim of a heinous crime, that’s newsworthy. That the clerics didn’t come out against all terrorism is hardly surprising. Which moral compass are you holding them to?

  3. To little to late. Rabbi Stern should step down immediately. If he is that naïve, he is unfit to hold the Chief Rabbi position. This is the typical mentality of the left wing atheist Liberal Israeli. If we would just kiss up and APOLOGIZE for everything CNN tells us to, the murderess filthy Arabs and their supporters in the UN would just love us! Such IDIOTS!
I don’t see Obama or any other ruler from ANY Country apologizing for everytime one of their citizens commites a crime. Punkt fakert. Its always a “work place violence” or “lone gunman” or “mentaly deranged killer”, etc… As our painful history has proven time and again, WE Jews are our own worst enemy.

  4. Perhaps he made that comment for the general public. I doubt he is naive – in fact I think that he is brilliant in saying out loud – Hey Imam when are you gonna step up to the plate and do your part to quell the flow of violence from your people.
Frankly – I am ashamed at the viciousness of YWN comments – and would embarrassed for a non frum Yid to see how frum people pounce on each other.

  5. This shows RStern is not connected to reality

If this is how he deals with Halacha issues , my the creator have pity of the inhabitants of Jerusalem
