According to the Sun Times News Group, the Sauk County (Wis.) Sheriff’s Department has concluded the majority of the search effort for 18-year-old Buffalo Grove resident Lee S. Cutler – Levi ben Basya – (reported HERE on YW) after a week and a half scouring the Baraboo River and surrounding area.

Investigators have found the Stevenson High School senior’s gray 2007 Toyota Corolla, a backpack, clothing and other personal belongings in Fairfield Township, Wis., but they have not located Cutler.

De Grazia said the Buffalo Grove Police Department will take the lead in the investigation from now on as Wisconsin officials are confident that Cutler is not in the area along the river. The search effort employed foot patrols, ATVs, planes and helicopters equipped with infrared scanners, sonar and cameras in addition to dive teams in the river.
