Bird Flu Detected In A Kibbutz Near Beit Shemesh

fluBird flu has been detected on Thursday, 15 Kislev, in Kibbutz Tzora near Beit Shemesh, health officials report. Chicken farmers summoned inspectors when they feared something was wrong and their suspicions were unfortunately confirmed.

In recent week, Agriculture Ministry inspectors have ordered destroying about 300,000 birds due to bird flu in a number of regions including Gilboa and the south.

Health officials are signaling that for now, all the infected birds seem to be suffering from the same strain, making things less complicated.
