    IF you look at the haskama to the sefer, you will see that the hakama was given to the RASHI KIFISHUTOY, NOT PISHUTO SHEL MIKRAH.
    The haskamos were copied from the sefer Rashi Kefeshutoy which was not banned.
    Look at the haskama or look at the rashi kifishutoy and you will see. There was no haskama given just to peshuto shel mikrah

    The renowned gedolim in the US are the ones on the Moetzes, the Vaad Roshei Hayeshiva of TU, including gedolim of the likes of Maran Hagaon Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky shlit’a, Hagaon Rav Ahron Feldman shlit’a, Hagaon Rav Ahron Shechter shlit’a, Hagaon Rav Malkiel Kotler Shlit’a, Hagaon Rav Elya Brudny shlit’a and others whom have become the voices of daas torah in america.
    The poskei hadar of America include the Lakewood Poskim bifrat Hagaon Rav Yaakov Forscheimer shlit’a.
    As far as gedolei roshei hayeshiva in the US, besides the above mentioned, there’s also Hagaon Rav Elya Ber Wachtfogel shlit’a who has frequently been crowned ‘Raban shel Bnei Hayeshivos’. Also, many lesser known roshei hayeshivos such as Hagaon Rav Kalman Epstein shlit’a who, like his father Maran Hagaon Rav Zelik ztvk”l before him, has some of the greatest gedolim of our dor seeking his great insightful practical eitzos.
    There are many other anashim gedolim who just never took up a shteller and unfortunately klal yisreol at large is not zoche to know to well.

    @Laskern
    I did write that when dealing with Pikuach Nefesh, there is for sure no question!
    When I said “BEFORE DOING ANYTHING REAGARDING EATING ON Y”K- CONSULT A RAV!” I was talking about someone who was sick and it is NOT a Pikuach Nefesh scenario.

    If a woman gives birth on Yom Kippur- there is no question, she must break her fast.
    If a woman is pregnant, we know that eating on Y”K is a Chiyuv Karrais so a woman should try her upmost to fast on Y”K. If she cant- if it is not Pikuach Nefesh one can eat or drink less then the size of a cheekful (1 oz. – 1.5 oz., around the size of a shot glass) for eating the size of a fig I believe. Eating and drinking in these cases should only be done every 9-10 minutes so it is not considered 1 meal. If it is Pikuach Nefesh then there is no question!
    BEFORE DOING ANYTHING REAGARDING EATING ON Y”K- CONSULT A RAV!
