Just a point to keep in mind…some of the divorces now a days are not because of a lack of checking into the other side…it’s because Hashem wanted that person to hear / see certain things, and not others! If one side keeps something major a secret, can you blame the other side for divorcing? I do agree that many young couples rush and don’t check the shidduch out for the important things…but it’s not always their fault!

Maybe you could make a thread for MEN ONLY! or just don’t write in the CR; b/c you will probably answer directly to a woman!

well anyone who only wears brand names is so ‘COOL’!!!! It’s totally ridiculous how much people would spend on stupidity to look cool! You know, half the brands out there are from people who are anti semites! Tommy Hilfigher for example! why are we running to support em, and then feeling ‘cool’ in addition?

good job NY MOM! that’s really a ‘step’ in the right direction! A small piece of advice for anyone who is looking to buy something new- ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPRESS THE SHECHAINA OR THE SHECHINA?

You know what really bothers me…BRAND NAMES! Why should someone feel better about themselves just because they’re wearing “really cool” ‘juicy socks/sweatshirt’? You’re just cheapening yourself!

I think everyone has to just realize-IT IS A MAJOR ISSUE! learn the halachos! if you don’t like this thread, don’t read it! And know that just because we’re pointing out one specific area, doesn’t mean that we are perfect in everything else! The work has just started!

cherrybim, i mean seriously! do you honestly think the level of tzniyus is good now a days?! I’m not sure if you’ve been out on the streets but the level has definitely gone down, and people aren’t even embarassed anymore! chamas by all means is terrible, and go ahead and start a blog for that too…but the tzniyus level has def. fallen a great legnth and it’s time to do something about it! It’s just sickening!

oh, and i forgot to mention, It’s practically assur for a man to go outside these days with his eyes open! So if you can’t be tznius for your own pride and dignity, at least do it for the men who want to take a walk outside sometimes!

Don’t worry what others think! You know (correctly) that 20 is by any means NOT OLD! there’s no need to feel extra pressure!

I just wanted to say-that i am utterly shocked at what girls and women are wearing today! i have some news for you-NOT EVERYTHING IS TZNIUS! just by adding a shell ( which most of the time does not cover the back of your collar bone ) doesn’t make the garment ‘kosher’. The short pencil skirts are disgusting! Forget about covering knees when sitting, WHAT ABOUT COVERING EM WHEN YOU’RE STANDING?! it seems like tznius is so ‘last year’…I don’t know what has gotten into people these days! I once heard a powerful remark- think, who are you trying to impress the shcheina or the shechina?!
