As is so often the case with qwerty613, when a thread raised the disturbing facts about Sheldon Stern (goes by name qwerty613), he disappears, hiding under some rock of silence. The reason is obvious; the disturbing facts about Sheldon Stern can’t be answered, and rather than admit defeat, he disappears, till, like a mushroom, he pops up on another thread. Checkmate, Sheldon Stern yemach shemo v’zichro, you POS (Google calls him a DDS & POS – check it out!).

qwerty613 wrote: “The Gemara in Eruvin relates that Rebbi made a point of showing respect to rich people. This was because they supported institutions of Torah and Chesed.” He tries to squeeze his point into a Chazal. The actual reason Rebbi was mechabed ashirim is that they gave tzedakka to the poor! (=see Rashi, D.H. EImosai). This is one of the numerous examples that Sheldon Stern is a total am haaretz, misquotes Chazal, makes up stories (that this rabbi told him this and that rabbi told him that – fiction), consistently denigrates gedolim, and claims to be a “lamdan’ because he puts out a parsha sheet. He uses various names and pretends to be in a drama with BMG Guy to gain sympathy and attention (BMG Guy is another one of his many names). Sheldon Stern was banned from VIN for valid reasons. I was following his comments there, and they are disgusting! He should be banned from YWN for the same reasons.

I have been following the comments of qwerty613 on VIN (username: the whole tooth, kryptonite, bmg guy, good gezugt, Knicks win, drooling dead). He is no “reb qwerty” or “rabbi qwerty”! He is Sheldon Stern, a nut job retard dentist from Manhattan that hates chareidim and mocks gedolim, while writing pure kefira and creating drama of being hounded by himself, as bmg guy, a role of a Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde. A meshugana. And his sign off, all together, v’nomar, checkmate.

For the record, qwerty613 refuses to write z”l or ztz”l after th ename of R’ Moshe Feinstein because he went to visit the Lubavitcher Rebbe z”l and when he was told by the Rebbe to start wearing Rabbeinu Tam tefillin, R’ Moshe z’l listened. Because if that, qwerty 613 refuses to call R” Moshe a tzaddik and considers the possek hador senile and demented. Shame on qwerty613!

qwerty613 is the infamous Sheldon Stern, dentist in Manhattan (who, according to Google, has an open office on shabbos!). He was banned from VIN for comments against gedolim, mocking Adirei Torah, Keren Olom HaTorah (as A scam), Dirshu (and the ostentatious extravaganza events for the ego of Rav Dovid Hoffstedter), CHabad, rabbonim and gedolim. He is a kofer questioning if TOrah is miSinai and if halacha is literal or just theoretical. He uses the names: The whole tooth, BMG Guy (while pretending that BMG Guy is out to get him – to create drama), krypotonite, good gezugt, knicks win, and other names (because VIN keeps banning him). He posted that moshiach is just a concept and not somethingthat will actually happen. He claims that the chazal are often wrong etc. a true apikores, while also being a total am haaretz that knows barely any talmud (he reads Me’am Lo’ez in English because the Hebrew is above his level), but claims to put out a parsha sheet and to know more than gedolei hador. Pathetic.

    To the group:
PSA – qwerty613 is being sued for $30 million for defamation and slander by publishing his comments on VIN against Chabad and Rabbis Shlomo Cunin and Manis Friedman. A group of Satmar tech guys tracked down his identity, Sheldon Stern, his IP address, devices used, emails, passwords etc. I have this information from VIN which banned him. The lawsuit is in the process of being filed by lead attorney Rachel Herman, an expert in the area of defamation on public forums. People think they can hide anonymously behind a username, but that is false. And there is a price to pay for dumping garbage on others, while thinking that they cannot strike back. Sheldon Stern, dentist, Manhattan – checkmate. On VIN “qwerty613” uses the names: The whole tooth. drop dead. gut gezugt, knicks win, kryptonite, BMG Guy, and several other names because VIN keeps banning him after he wrote against Chabad, Adirei Torah, Dirshu, Keren Olom HaTorah, Roshei Yeshivos Harabbonim Malkiel Kotler, Elya Brundy, Dov Launda and Moshe Hillel Hirsch of Slabodka, Dovid Cohen of Chevron (calling them scammers and fakers and worse etc),

I do not know the details of the lawsuit, and I am not an attorney; maybe you are? My information is from VIN. The owner is very concerned that he be dragged in for allowing slanderous comments (which is one reason he banned Sheldon Stern). I think the lawsuit is about publishing libellous comments against a well-known author and public speaker, Manis Friedman, as being a kofer, and likewise, a public figure and leader of Chabad in California, Shlomo Cunin, causes irreparable harm to their reputation and finances, on a forum like VIN with thousands of readers I am aware of lawsuits when someone placed a disparaging Google review of a business (but I do not know the outcome).

Qwerty613 is the infamous Sheldon Stern, Manhattan dentist, who disparages gedolim and detests chareidim. He bashes Chabad, Adirei Torah, Dirshu, the gedolim Rabbonim Malkiel Kotler, Elya Brundy, Dovid Cohen of Chevron, Moshe Hillel Hirsch amd Dov Landau of Slabodka shlita. He is also a kofer in moshiash or tchiyas ha’meisim (claiming he is unsure if it will happen). He was banned from VIN for such comments under usernames: the while tooth, kryptonite, drop dead, good gezugt, bmg guy, and others.

Curiosity, is a hat covering hair not tashmishei kedusha since it serves a mitzvah of covering hair (and worn specifically for that purpose)?

147, apparently the talis koton is not “meyuchas l’tefila” since it is worn all day, but my hat (or a gartel or kittel) is more choshuv because it is only worn for tfilah. Makes me wonder, if a person wears special shoes for tefilah, do they become like a gartel or kittel!?!

KovodHabriyos, my LOR says P.C.’s gotta be male, as the poskin say, because women aren’t part of minyan, but then he told me something wild and strange:

The Chasam Sofer on Kesubos 7b D”H B’makhelos says: a woman, slave or minor children are also valid P.C.’s!!!!!! In fact, the K’hilas Yaakov on Kesubos (Likutim) s. 1 writes that if P.C. is to add simcha to chosson and kalah, then a minor child qualifies!!!

But my LOR made clear that the poskin do not follow these views.

I asked my LOR if P.C. is plural why not require 2 P.C.’s? He answered (are you sitting down?):

Although most poskin say one is enogh, indeed some hold you need TWO P.C.”s (told me Tshuvas Avrohom ben HaRambam s. 86 & s. 100 in name of his father the Rambam holds this)!

Then he told me something weirder: In Tshuvas Ma’ri Halevi (brother of Turei Zohov) s. 37 says that tow P.C.’s are enough only if the two P.C.’s are very choshov [like R’ kavevsky and R’ Shtienman], but if the P.C. are regular people – TEN are required!!

To me, that is kind of “interesting”.

I just thought of a REALLY stupid question: The words “ponim chadoshos” (new faces)is PLURAL, so why aren’t TWO p.c.’s required?????

My shul hat is like a gartel – LOLOLOL!!! Here’s the problem – if I can’t wear it to the bathroom, what do I do when I go to the washroom, since that is the hair covering (instead of a sheitel or head shmatte)???? Do I wear the hat or uncover my hair???

I heard my LOR tell a bochur to say the segulah fpr finding lost object and he will find his shidduch (“Omar Rabi Binyomin hakol sumin etc.”) because chazal tells us that the man seeks his “lost object” – his missing rib. I thought it was hysterical till a few weeks later this bochur was engaged!

Curiosity, I noticed you called me arrogant, you also called the OP a troll. Name calling is a form of bullying. It is infantile and symptomatic of underlying issues. Leading me to suspect that the real issue is with the one wearing the yarmulka.

The cheapest and nicest mishloach manos is when it is done b’shutfas – several friends (I try to get 10 of us) who have mutual recepients, all chip in a couple of dollars each and put together a $20 shlach monos “from all of us”. I think this spirit of achdus in giving is part of what S.M. is all about!

I think it depends on the situation and the context. If a bochur in Brisk or the Mirr or Stamar walks in with a knitted kipah, he is making a statement. calling for attention, rebelling or crying for help (he may also be suffering from mental health problems. I compare this to a BY girl who suddenly streaks her hair pink and purple.

On the other hand, some yidden should be applauded for wearing ANY yarmuka at all.

So really it depends who is under the kipah to know if the hat fits.

Recently, an Israeli start-up company has begun marketing and selling special glasses in charedi neighborhoods such as Meah Shearim. The purpose of the glasses is to prevent charedi men from seeing immodestly-dressed women.

Yedioth Ahronot reports that the glasses, designed for the charedi community, are intended for charedi men who must go to places where women will be present.

The new patent cost the inventors only NIS 25. The patent includes non-prescription glasses and the obscuring stickers.

Even a regular employee who does “mundane” work is mandated in mishna-halacha to shorten his/her davening and curtail his/her bentching to avoid “stealing” time from the employer, kal v’chomer when the employee is in kli kodesh – teaching Jewish or secular subjects (which is also a mitzvah) to multiple “employers”/students.

However, if the recess is so short that she is unable to get to the teacher’s room (which I am a bit skeptical about but accept at face value), then I assume the recess is way too short for the students too, and this ought to be raised with the school’s menahel/ess.
