Having said I am a Genealogist you opened yourself up to my next question/request. Can you help me try to find descendants of Rachel Kurtz born 2 2 1861 in Rajka Hungary?

My interests are not in Rav Halberstam’s realm

I am not trying to find out how many times my wife’s great great grandmother was descended from Rashi.

Who was talking about gnomes and DNA? I am trying to find descendants of Rachel Kurtz born 2 2 1861 in Rajka Hungary.

Simply facts that can be found in old records in Eastern Europe which that particular group for their own reasons have huge collections.

Also please see my last reply.

Many years ago at a public forum I heard someone ask Rav Belsky Shlita this Q but don’t remember his answer. If I could give my Rav a copy of a Teshuva by a competent Posek than he has something to work with. I am not comfortable accessing their site for technical details without a Psak from someone familiar with them

My Rav would not know what I am referring to, He would have to start from square one finding out what…

If I can give him something to start with he would be able to give me his opinion.

“patronize” you know or are you GUESSING?

Rav Eisenberger is a Talmid of Rav Kopelman Z”tzl. After 4 years in Luzern he went to Mir Yerushlaim. Call his BH”M”s tape librarian at 917 885 1953 for info.

I am a neighbor & occasional dropper in to his shiurim. The rav-talmid relationship there is phenomenal. It is hard to describe, big brother is the closest I can come.

If you are familiar with the area, the owner (Avrumi) of the fruit store closest to Heichal Hatefila is Talmid of Horav Eiseberger. He is a nice guy and may be willing to help you.

Is this for outdoors in sunlight? Might be looking for trouble as the glass bits may intensify the heat and damage the Mezuza

Here is a quote from an on line referrence source

Normally, one can walk anywhere in his city or town on such days, but only within that area and up to 2000 cubits past the city limits. (The definition of “city limits” in Jewish law is beyond the scope of this article. Suffice it to say that it relates to the area which is actually populated, and not to the political borders of a municipality.) If one needs to travel farther than that, he can leave some food in a certain location prior to that holiday or Sabbath. This will temporarily establish his home as at the location of the food, allowing him to travel 2000 cubits from the food. There are many other details beyond the scope of this article
