    try reinstalling stock rom and then do full data dalvik and chache wipe and reinstall cm.

    I am currently using stock. All my unsuccessful installations were from stock.

    Did you try CM11 without gapps to see if it runs first? That

    would be my first process of elimination when

    troubleshooting.

    Tried that with no success.

    This may seem a bit redundant but try wiping cache and dalvik again. Also the first boot will take a long time maybe 10 minutes.

    I’m assuming that before you installed cyanogenmod you did a factory reset/clear user data?

    I tried clearing those again but no luck! And yes, I wiped the entire phone before installing CM. And I let it boot for over an hour.

    You are right that Elul CAN be a happy time for the reasons you mentioned, however, some people get very serious and can’t even crack a smile starting from before 10 Tammuz going all the way to after Yom Kippur…

    Here’s an update:

    So I redownloaded CM11 (20140830) and managed to install it after wiping data (did a full wipe and cleared cache and dalvik). The installation started and went completely through. Then I installed gapps and it went thorough as well. Then cleared cache and dalvik and rebooted the phone.

    First came Samsung Galaxy s3 mini logo and then came CM’s logo with the spinning arrow around that weird guy… And it sat there for an hour! I tried it twice with no success! Frustrating!

    Anyone have any idea?

    I am. Got one response so far but not much help. I figured I’ll ask around here because XDA is very big and my post can get lost amid all the others there.

    You must format cache after install also!

    Yeah, realized that afterwards and I stupidly deleted the SlimKAT zip after I got the bootloop. But why aren’t Nova Fusion’s downloads working for me?

    BTW, these roms are for the international version only (i8190).

    I’m on GT-I8190L. Nova Fusion doesn’t specify which s3 mini the’re for.

    I think samsung themselves released kitkat update for the american versions.

    For the s3 mini LTE only, I think.

    Here’s am update:

    Changed to TWRP2

    Backed up all data then did a full format incl. chache and davlik.

    Then installed th SlimKAT file and gApps.

    (I did NOT format chache after install)

    Rebooted pone and saw Galaxy sIII mini screen like normal then cam SlimKAT logo (replacing Samsung’s) but it just remained on the flashing SlimKAT logo.

    I removed the battery and restored the phone using TWRP Recovery.

    I then downloaded Nova Fusion’s CM11 for s3 mini and tried flashing it but I got a Failed message. This happened with a number of Nova’s files, including the latest (cm11.0_goldem.nova.20140830.zip)

    I tried downloading the Odin version but for some reason it keeps stopping in middle (and I don’t have unlimited internet and can’t keep downloading files).

    Didn’t think this should be so hard…

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Shopping, the reward is for helping him find a wife. It is not different then paying a Shadchan for his/her help. The only difference is that he is asking the public for assistance in finding his ??? ???. By offering such a big reward he is demonstrating that he is serious (and desperate). I don’t see anything wrong with it.
