does anyone else think that he was pressured into writing that apology?

    Tums

If boys and girls really wants to talk they could find so many other ways that texting would be no factor in this at all. Therefore it is wrong to blame it on texting.

I found that during my teenaged years my parents were the hardest part of my life because they were always scared that u was gonna go OTD so two were always trying to control me. As for school, what’s so bad about going to a place where you get to learn, work on your arguing skills and make friends?

Shlishi was more than advocating. He said that “how can anyone drink from starbucks even now, knowing what we now know. even if more information if forthcoming, we already know there is a major problem.” it seems to me that he seems to have his mind made up that Starbucks is not kosher even without the verdict of the cRc.

i think that facebook is underrated—- people make such a big deal out of nothing. if someone knows how to use facebook, lock his account and not accept “wienrd” friends then facebook is no threat!!!

i am a sefardi and do not agree at all with this this view (i come from an other middle eastern country) and does it not say in the torah that that it is asur to antaganize a ger? so in responce to the original question… no- this is only in the syrian comminities. also, a few years ago there was a woman trying to convert, but the syrians would not let her, so rebbi ovadia yosef had to come and assure the syrian communities that she is a kosher convert and should be accepted.

as i remember it, lmaskana, they came out that there really was no problem with indian hair sheitels. they might not be recomendable, but not a problem. also, if u look at the pervious disscussion, the one that got closed before popa opened it again, a post by SHILSHI said and i quote “how can anyone drink from starbucks even now, knowing what we now know. even if more information if forthcoming, we already know there is a major problem. i dont see how its possible to drink there” and this is before the cRc has made their final desicion.

Personally, I don’t know why people want to drink at Starbucks so much to make sucha big deal out of this. I suggest DUNKIN DONUTS instead. (don’t worry, they don’t serve hooves there)

    Health:

As in anyplace a person must be careful with what he is eating. Because some things in the store are kosher does not mean everything is. Our discussion is about the COFFEE not any other items that Starbucks sell.

Next. About their coffee, as was said before, there was a hechsher which meant that the things that are kosher, are kosher.

    Truth be told:

    1) I dont get your comparison to a rabbit.

    2) let’s not foreget all those soldiers who died and all those people who campaigned for our sake during ww2.

    3) You refer to someone being “negligent” in ????. Are we all so self righteous to say that we are not “negligent” in some ????.

    4) our discussion is comparing ??? ??? ????? to ??? ??? ?????? and you are comparing ??? ??? ????? with ??? ??? ?????? against just ??? ??? ??????.

    5) has a shfartza never held open a door for u? Wish u good morning/ good night? Why would they do that? That is ??? ??? ?????? with out ??? ??? ????? (well sort of).

    6) and I don’t think that having no ??? ??? ????? will lead to hitting a woman regaurdless of what kind of coat she is wearing.

    Truth be told:

But they are still two different concepts and someone can respect others while not respecting hashem. I think the discussion here is when they are two separate concepts. But yes in the jewish world that is (hopefully) true.

I completely agree with you and I would like to take that a step further and say that this is also a concept of ???? ??????. If the ???? respect us for who we are (well at least some of them do) then we should also show that sort of respect for them also.

    Shlishi:

Then what is the point of the cRc? They are saying that people should not drink starbucks because they sell other items… What about 7eleven? The coffee there is kosher but they sell hot dogs and stuff and no one seems to mind… Does this mean that we should not buy anything from a store that sells things that are not kosher? Shouldn’t that be maaras eiyin also?
