A state witness took the stand in the Holyland real estate trial against former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Sunday, 11 Tammuz 5772. The state prosecutor calls it’s the most serious real estate corruption trial in the history of state.
The defendants in the case include Olmert, for Jerusalem Mayor Rabbi Uri Lupoliansky, Olmert’s longtime bureau chief and confidant Shula Zaken, and a number of others.
The state is indicating the most serious charges are being filed against Olmert and Lupoliansky, alleging they accepted most of the millions in bribery funds. Zaken has an alleged involvement, alleged including money laundering.
