Hatzolah Israel has informed YWN of the Petira of the father of the Slonimer Rebbe, Rav Michel Ahron Weinberg ZATZAL.
Hatzolah Israel members were dispatched to the scene and found him in cardiac arrest. CPR was performed for a lengthy period of time until they had a pulse on him.
He was transported to Bikur Cholim Hospital, but was Niftar a short while later in the hospital.
A large crowd gathered at the Slonimer Bais Medrash on Rechov Zvilll in the Bais Yisroel section of Yerushalayim for the Levaya late Monday night.
Hundreds of people were Melava the Aron to Har Hamenuchos through the frigid cold Yerushalayim night.

was he also a rebbe? was he a descendant of the slonimer rabiim? how old was he ?is the current rebbi the only child of this niftar? i would appreciate some answers.thanks
