A Johannesburg Hatzolah member is fighting for his life after he was involved in a serious crash on Friday morning. Emergency personnel needed to extricate him from the vehicle.

A source tells YWN that the volunteer was not responding to a Hatzolah emergency at the time of the single-vehicle crash, which left him with major injuries. He has since undergone multiple surgeries, and is suffering from a severe head injury, chest trauma, pelvis and femur fractures among other injuries.

The name “Chaim” was added to his name.
