5/18/07 9:53AM EST: The 61 PCT Lieutenant tells Yeshivaworld, that three men posing as police officers rang the bell, the door opened & they tried to steal a safe inside the home. A scuffle occurred between the trio and the homeowner – ending with a shot being fired in the thigh of the 47 year-old-man. One man is in custody, but police are searching for the other two fugitives.

Are you sure the person that was shot died? and if he died why is this news not on 1010WINS which would have such news considering that a person was shot dead.
guys posing as undercover cops entered, tied up the guys, took the safe and shot one guy. the shot person isn’t dead – just wounded. (btw, all aino yehudim)
I went there this morning and sent some new photos to the YW Editor. The police said it was not a Jewish man. East 15th remains closed from R to KH. Also, it’s in the Post:

They entered the home on the NW corner of E. 15th and Ave. R. While the cops told me it was not a Jewish family, I think it was, a Syrian Jewish family. I do not think the man is dead, the NY1 news said he was shot in the thigh.
The cops got one of the guys with a gun and a bullet proof vest in the backyard, 2 others escaped.
THE PERSON IS NOT DEAD, HE IS IN KINGS HOSPITAL. SAFE WAS LEFT BEHIND BY INTRUDERS.
BTW, 123…the victim is Jewish.
And what does it matter really if he is or not?! The point here is that 3 thugs posed as cops, broke into a home, and shot someone! Be alert, open your eyes, and dont be so closed-minded about your life here in the Galus!
