Arab MKs decided to boycott a Knesset plenum session addressing calls for Israel to declare its sovereignty on Har Habayis as MK Moshe Feiglin feels the declaration by Moti Gur in 1967 is insufficient considering today’s current realities.
Speaking to the Kol Chai Radio on Tuesday 25 Adar I 5774, Feiglin explained that permitting the ongoing Chilul Hashem on Har Habayis, permitting the Waqf to continue destroying remains of the First and Second Beis HaMikdash is intolerable and a new declaration by the Government of Israel is a starting point. Opponents fear such an act would launch a global uprising by the international Muslim community in addition to the fact many MKs feel the Waqf is truly the owner of the site.
Balad party faction leader Jamal Zahalka stated “Feiglin wants to make noise in the media and we do not wish to give him the pleasure. Feiglin is the small pyromaniac compared to the government, the big pyromaniac which seeks to Judaize Jerusalem and the Ministry of Religious Services want to permit entry to Jews to daven in the mosques compound. If that happens, it will lead to a big fire. All the earth will burn.”

Translations in frum publications are so odd. Did the Arab MK really say “daven?” No, he said “pray” in Arabic. So translate it “pray.” Like in another publication, where a non-religious Israeli is quoted as having said “tzniusdik.”
