photos110:01: The rocket attack earlier Thursday morning 5 Tammuz in Sderot could have ended far worse as two homes were hit. A caretaker was watching small children in one of the homes, and Baruch Hashem they all managed to get into the bomb shelter in the 15 second allotted them. The rocket pierced the concrete wall and landed inside the home. The rocket did not explode, compelling bomb demolition experts to respond to the home to neutralize the rocket. Needless to say the area was cleared of civilians.

There was a power outage in the city during night, which was caused by earlier rocket attacks.

While the Security Cabinet and senior IDF commanders continue to evaluate the situation, releasing countless statements “Hamas is not interested in an escalation in warfare,” rockets are falling and the Sderot and other surrounding communities are at war. For them, summer vacation means being within 15 seconds running distance from the bomb shelter.

13:09: Sirens are sounding once again in Sderot, Nir Am and Gavim.

  1. So let’s see: The Arab Dogs fired a rocket into a home that had women & children hoping to KILL as many as possible, and those tough/brave Israelis will respond by sending a rocket into an EMPTY field or wharehouse. That will really teach those Arabs a lesson. I mean, the Chachomim who are running the IDF are definitely the smartest people to ever walk the face of the earth.

  2. “Hamas is not interested in an escalation of warfare” – of course not. They want to be allowed to continue shooting rockets at innocent civilians, without the IDF ‘escalating’. In fact, any response at all would be an escalation over the nothing they have been doing until now.
