Israel: Court Extends Remand of Money Laundering Suspects


chnA Rishon L’Tzion court on Tuesday night, the eve of 7 Tishrei, extended the remand of 13 suspects arrested in connection to an alleged money laundering drug operation. According to police, the case involves drugs and other illegal activities, netting hundreds of millions of shekels.

Police updating the media on the case report there are now 13 suspects, all of whom were remanded. Eight of the suspects were remanded until 12 Tishrei and the five others until 8 Tishrei.

Police are working together with law enforcement agencies in Europe and the United States, adding arrests were made in a number of other countries in connection to the case in Israel.
