The IDF is stepping up the level of warning for Gaza border communities and a Red Alert will be sounded if terrorist digging into Israel is detected as it is sounded when rockets are launched from Gaza towards Israel.

For residents of these border communities, in addition to the Red Alert they will receive an SMS text message to inform them the alert is due to digging and not an incoming rocket attack. They will be instructed to turn off lights and remain at home until an ‘all clear’ is given.
