The Vishnitzer Rebbe Shlita HaGaon HaRav Menachem Mendel Hager on Thursday 25 Tishrei visited Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv. The rebbe was visiting the avreich Rav Yosef Yomtov ben Yocheved Gitel, the chossid who was seriously injured on erev Simchas Torah after falling from a height in the large sukka in the main Vishnitz Beis Medrash on Shlomo HaMelech Street in Bnei Brak.

The rebbe was mispallel at the kevarim of his ancestors on erev Yomtov due to the seriousness of the avreich’s situation and on Thursday, he spoke with family members in the hospital room.

The doctors explained he remains in a medically induced coma to permit his brain to heal and they hope they will soon be able to diminish the amount of anesthesia and begin trying to bring him out of the coma.
