Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is widening the scope of his anti-Zionist activities, now prohibiting adverts for large companies owned by American Jews or firms operating in Israel.
The list includes prominent names such as IBM, Nestle, Coca Cola, and Intel. This is Tehran’s response to Israel’s embargo on importing goods into Gaza.
A government ministry is assigned to locating the “Zionist companies” so they may be added to the boycott list. The Iranian Foreign Ministry will be compelled to furnish an annual report to monitor the effectiveness of the boycott. The new boycott is an offshoot of the Palestinian Support Law.
