Shin Bet Arrests Terrorist Who Stabbed Israeli In Yad Binyamin


Cleared for release: On 25 Cheshvan, the Shin Bet operated in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Anata, near Yerushalayim, arriving with IDF soldiers, arrested Baraa Issi, a local resident, who on November 6, 2015 stabbed and Israeli citizen in the Shar Binyamin complex, wounding him moderately.

Baraa is aligned with Fatah and was on the Shin Bet wanted list. At the time of his arrest, he was hiding out in the home of a member of the PA security services.

Also arrest, for assisting Baraa, was Amro Abu Halil, who was taken into custody in May 2017. He was also at the headquarters of the Palestinian security forces in Ramallah since the attack. Abu Halil is being tried by the military court in Judea for an offense of premeditated attempted murder.
