Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon explains he cannot continue serving if there is no state budget in place by yomtov.
He explains “There is no connection between the draft and the budget”, citing without a budget, sectors in real need will be hard pressed to continue managing.
Therefore, he insists that if the budget is not passed until Pesach, “I will suggest to my colleagues to resign from Knesset”.
Kahlon feels the budget cannot be held hostage over the draft controversy as there are too many in need who need the money provided to them in the budget.
