Police Issue 593 Summonses Over Lag B’Omer Weekend Throughout Yehuda And Shomron

Police operating throughout Yehuda and Shomron report issuing 593 summonses in those areas over Lag B’Omer weekend. Police are firm when it comes to over aggressive drivers, who they feel endanger other motorists. This includes passing when there is a solid line and failing to yield for stop signs and red traffic signals as well as other infractions of the traffic law.

Police operated primarily on Route 60, which is the main vehicular route in both Yehuda and Shomron, reporting that the licenses of seven motorists were revoked and six vehicles, found not to be roadworthy, were taken off the road. Nineteen summonses were issued for drivers using a cellphone without a handsfree device.
