TRAGIC: Netanya Girl Who Fell to Her Death Was Trying To ‘Swing from the Clothes Line’


Police launched a probe into the incident in which a 5-year-old Netanya girl R”L fell to her death from the family’s ninth floor balcony on Sunday, 17 Menachem Av.

Police have learned that the tragic fatal incident was the result of the girl, Roselana Kalizani, making her way to the clothes line near the service porch window of the ninth-floor apartment. She got to the window, which was not blocked with a safety fence, climbed outside, and lost her balance. She fell to her death as she landed on the asphalt parking lot nine stories below.

With this information, police ruled out any criminal activity related to the child’s death.

  1. Not a matter of “too many kids” – a matter of not using elementary safety precautions, like having protective bars on all windows on the _ninth_ floor.

    Only children CH”V get hurt or killed too. Kids can do things that your average adult wouldn’t think of. The only real solution is to follow common sense. You know kids can get open windows, for example, so make sure they can’t fall. Schools should have mandatory counseling for kid safety for parents. If we can worry about them learning alef-bais we can certainly worry about them staying alive.
