Poll: Lieberman Takes A Right-Wing Vote From URWP

According to a 103FM Radio poll, the Yisrael Beitenu party headed by MK Avigdor Lieberman has taken a seat from the right-wing, from URWP.

Yisrael Beitenu remains strong, with the poll stating it will receive ten seats. If this is the case, it will remain the key to forming the next coalition government, as both the right and left-wing lack a sufficient number of seats to form a coalition without Lieberman’s party, which at present, appears more likely to recommend Benny Gantz receive the presidential mandate to form a coalition government over PM Binyamin Netanyahu.

The poll was conducted by the Smith Institute, showing 43% of respondents prefer a coalition government headed by Blue & White party leader MK Benny Gantz, while 41% preferred PM Netanyahu head the next coalition as well. Smith clarifies that the gap between the two is not statistically significant since only 50 respondents out of all of the respondents stated that they would vote for Lieberman. Whatever the case may be, Lieberman has taken another seat from the URWP headed by Ayelet Shaked.

  1. I heard the Satmar rebbe is planning a trip next month to Israel to assist Leiberman in the election, by taking votes away from the shomer Shabbos parties. I’m not sure though which rebbe is traveling; meaning if it’s the secular court plaintiff rebbe or the secular court defendant rebbe. The shumuah is that when he gets to Israel he will be announcing that it’s 100% Assur min HaTorah to vote and support any government that encourages and promotes toeiva and secular chinuch – with exception of course if the candidate running is domeh k’Rat – I mean democrat- and promising to write big checks that financially support his mosdos.
