Calls to the Gerrer Rebbe to Replace Litzman

gerr.jpgIt appears the Gerrer community in Eretz Yisrael is feeling the result of the Jerusalem mayoral election and the loss of City Hall to Nir Barkat. According to a Chadrei Charedim report, two prominent Gerrer askanim, who are close to the Rebbe Shlita, have already met with the Rebbe, asking that Litzman be replaced before the general elections for the 18th Knesset as a result of his actions, which they blame for the loss in the capital mayoral race.

The two entered independently, and apparently the meetings were extremely brief, since the Rebbe was unwilling to hear their demands regarding Litzman.

One of the two, who pleaded, explained “I am concerned with the Rebbe’s honor,” was apparently met with the same response. The Rebbe would not discuss the matter. He entered again, expressing his pain, stating he has no personal interest in the matter but is concerned for the Rebbe’s kavod. The Rebbe directed him to the committee of three who deal with political matters, a sign of absolute trust in Litzman.

It should be pointed out that since the committee was formed, the Rebbe directs political matters and differences of opinion regarding Chinuch Atzmai to the members, Rav Yosef Kuperberg, Chanoch Zibert and MK Yaakov Litzman.

Another pertinent point is that Litzman stated on numerous occasions that he wishes to end his political career and is waiting for the Rebbe to permit him to step down.

At last Thursday’s Agudah meeting in Bnei Brak, it was decided unanimously that Meir Porush will continue to represent the Shlomei Emunim faction but no name was decided upon regarding the “central party”.

There are backroom reports that Gur is engaged in clandestine talks with Belz towards Belz filling the Gur slot with the understanding it will have to represent the interests of Gur in Knesset as well.

  1. It would be a sad joke if none of Degel & Agudah passed the 3 seat threshold.
Then actually all votes for these parties were totally in vain.
That alone might prompt some voters to vote Shas.
Not a bad idea after all.

Does this not strike you as odd? I thought Aguda was in support of all haredi Jewry – ‘protecting’ us fromt he evilschemes of the tzionisten?

Does Belzer protection needs differ from Gur’s or the Yeshiva World?

Is this the Kiddush Hashem these goons speak about when they tell us to vote for them leKadesh Shem Shomayim?

Klal Yisreol wake up and divorce yourself from people who only stand between you and Hashem!!

Our lives are about serving Hashem thorugh his TOrah as a part oh His Nation, not serving some petty political organztion or insignificant little group.

If you really need to live vicariously becomes a New York Giants fan or live your life for the Democrats or Republicans. But for crying out loud, do not realte to Avodas Hashem the same way the Goy relates to the ‘big things’ in his life!!!
