After a battle that was waged over six years, the High Court of Justice ruled a Petach Tikvah mikve may be built as planned. The court rejected petitions of land owners in the Kfar Avraham neighborhood of the city and cleared the final hurdles for the construction of the mikve.
The petitions were filed against Petach Tikvah City Hall, citing building codes the believed would support their case and telling the court that the construction of the mikve would result in land expropriations from their respective plots.
The case began six years ago in the Petach Tikvah District Court, the ruling appealed and finally, making its way to the High Court, which rejected the petition of the land owners.
