I get the salmon from a local supermarket.

Making good sushi requires the ability to select good fish. Try your local fish market at 5:00AM. The fish sold at supermarkets is generally not fresh enough to eat raw.

Perhaps you can enlighten us and tell us what article (with filthy news) caused you to sound off here about this “BIG” problem?

When I saw the title I thought it was about the big ads on the main site but when I saw the quote about trust in the moderators I had to comment. (Maybe I’ll rephase it later)

Could this be the pirate radio station broadcasting from Boro Park?

A FCC search doesn’t seem to show any licensees that would have good coverage in Brooklyn. Do they have a callsign?

I dont know who sent the letter, Was it some Self-Proclaimned Vaad-Hatziuth or was it from the schools directly

The scans I saw weren’t on letterhead and didn’t have any signatures.

The oldest Orthodox synagogue in America, Shearith Israel, has mechitzot that ten tefachim high. That congregation is notorious for refusing to countenance even slight departures from their long-established nusachim.

The balcony itself is the Mechitza, the railing is just for safety.

Oh, that was a funny thread. I wonder if that was me who changed that–I certainly cannot remember.

It came from the same IP address as the recent YCT edits (and surpisingly is still there).

Sorry, the mods won’t let me post that link but here’s another one. http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/in-telshe-they-dont-wear-tzitzis-and-other-stories#post-438137

what is the obsession with a dorm?

It’s better than sleeping on a steam grate.

I don’t understand how in this day and age, when we have so much Kosher Mehadrin food to fress, people still need to eat chalav stam.

It’s about the quality, not quantity.

Someone changed the title here. If you’re refering to the under-sink heaters designed to replace a kettle, the ones with metal levers usually hold 2/3 gallon (60 cups per hour) and the plastic levered ones hold 1/3 gallon (40 cups per hour).

You can always explain to them that the designers of this product focused on the cost of manufacturing rather than reusability, conequently there are crevices that cannot be washed leading to bacteria growth. You could go a step further and show examples of reusable plasticware, these are generally made from harder plastics to prevent absorbtion of food and lack crevices that cannot be cleaned out (althouth they are often treated as disposable).

It depends on the item. Some plasticware is designed to be washable and others aren’t. Cups that are reusable will have a molded edge rather than a rolled edge.

Regarding the cemataries near JFK, departing flights veer off long before reaching the cemetaries. and arriving flights generally don’t use the runways in line with the cemetaries. Use of runways 13L and 13R (whose approach is over a number of non-denominational cemetaries) would conflict with LGAs runway 4 and runway 22R (Whose approach is over Montefiore Cemetary) is normally used as runway 4L.

Mount Zion Cemetary is not in line with LGA’s runway 4 (but it is possible that an approaching plane will fly over it).

Water Street on a Sunday sounds pointless. 800 2nd Avenue on a business day might interest me.

Furthermore, I assume there’s an “I agree to abide by the conditions…” button that must be clicked

Not on this site. It asks for a username, email address and a CAPTCHA, and then emails a password to the email address.

Also the Terms Of Use are located at http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/policy.php.

In order for Sam Adams to put a Star-K on new varieties they need to get an updated certification and get their label artwork approved by the Star-K. To make uncertified varieties alongside their certified varieties they just need to use ingredients that are approved by the Star-K.
