Trump is now at 316 delegates, Cruz at 226, Rubio at 106.

The main concern I have is a brokered convention. Trump needs to win big if he wants to be the nominee. He needs to get over 50% in upcoming states in order to really reel in the delegates. Otherwise, the establishment will bamboozle him with the prospect of a Cruz/Rubio ticket.

Trump needs more big name endorsements, more substantive rhetoric and policies, and he needs to rally big time in states with high delegate counts. He didn’t campaign at all in Texas, Oklahoma, Alaska, or Minnesota. Texas would have been a wise choice for him to campaign heavily in. Oh well…

When Trump wins the White House, there’s a strong possibility the White House kitchen will be kashered every time Ivanka, Jared, and the kids come over. Ivanka’s going to be the echtige first lady, not his wife.

We’ve lost from every free trade agreement, and we’re going to be raked over the coals by TPP.

NAFTA and CAFTA are engineered by the insiders to bring illegals to America from Mexico and Central America all as steps towards the creation of a North American Union.

I’m voting for Trump. I don’t think Cruz will make it in the long run, otherwise, I’d vote for him. Immigration and trade policy are very important to me. Trump is a nationalist, and we need candidates that are pro-America and pro-American above all.

I wish Israel well, but am not a Tzioni, so I’m not so caught up in that. Although I have no doubts Trump will be good for Israel just the same.

Rubio is an awful candidate and very corrupt.

Medinas Yisroel is not redemptive. If anything, it probably lengthens our galus. I wish Israel well, but as someone who follows the views of the bulk of the gedolim, how could I be a Zionist? The irony is that even as far as more modern gedolim go, Rav Hirsch was very opposed to Zionism.

My great grandparents came here legally, through Ellis Island, followed the laws, learned English, paid taxes, and the men served in 3 wars. We’re a country of laws, not a hefkervelt. People don’t seem to care that there’s such thing as the rule of law, and that those who trample upon it have no right to be here. Immigration is fine when the immigrants are useful and look to contribute to their new countries. Today’s immigrants come here to spit on America, they don’t learn English, they don’t adapt to our ways, and they abuse welfare. They don’t look to contribute, they suck us dry with welfare.

My main concern is that we elect a Republican who will unleash a fury upon illegals, through whatever means necessary. As far as I see it, our laws don’t protect illegals, therefore, even if mass incarceration in internment camps like the Japanese is necessary, so be it.

Tznius. Women aren’t supposed to draw unnecessary attention to themselves. Kol kevudah bas melech penimah. Women don’t gaze at men in the same way men gaze at women. The Skver chasidim are a pretty smart bunch on this issue.

We definitely do need translations in this generation. We’re dealing with more learning disabilities, more distractions, and a need to keep people away from materialism and on the derech more.

Someone should come out with a Kovetz Shiurim style sefer on the yeshivishe masechtos/limudim in English.

We’ve had enough of compromise. Compromise with the left has led to a failed foreign policy, racial turmoil on the streets of America, acts of Muslim terror being openly committed on American soil, and a crumbling economy.

Cruz is the more sane choice for intellectual conservatives. He’s a brilliant attorney and statesman, and has contributed more to conservatism than any other Republican in the race.

On the other hand, Trump has a tremendous moxie and appeal to people that are otherwise politically apathetic, or who wouldn’t typically vote for a Republican. He’s a populist with mass appeal, and his positions are not typical conservative ones, such as his positions on Planned Parenthood funding, taxing the highest earners, toeva marriage, and other issues.

If Cruz were to campaign on a more heavy-handed immigration policy, he’d be ideal.

I wonder myself. Why do people have such a love affair with Muslims and illegals from Mexico and Latin America?

I think Trump’s strength is that he’s not partisan or wed to ideology. He’s a populist, and he’s pragmatic. A businessman brings a sense of pragmatism to office. He’ll work effectively with Democrats, in my opinion, and he’ll look to foster compromise, except on non-negotiables, such as immigration, the economy, and defense. Social issues are not really on the radar so much. Obergefell isn’t going away anytime soon, and neither is Roe. Conservatives need to come to terms with the fact that sadly, there’s nothing we can do to overturn Roe or undo toeiva marriage.

BTW: totally unrelated, but Chris Christie sounded very rabbinical in his answer on abortion a few weeks ago. He said that abortion can be seen as an act of self-defense in some cases, which sounds, lehavdil, like the Rambam’s citing din rodef in the context of abortion.

Yes, I do check for leaf miners, and I don’t use broccoli, cauliflower, or fresh strawberries because I am aware thrips hide under the seeds and washing doesn’t remove them.

In all honesty, if you soak your lettuce in soapy water for 5 minutes, wipe down with a sponge, rise under a heavy stream of water, and soak again, are you really going to find insects after such an intense washing process?

Satmar has a lot of things figured out, in my humble opinion. They promote men working, the women don’t get caught up in the nonsense of wanting to be talmidos chachamim, and they’re not Zionists. In terms of learning, they learn more according to the classic derech of the Chasam Sofer. Doesn’t sound bad to me.

Donald Trump is not a jerk. He’s someone who tells it like it is. Some people can’t handle the truth and they don’t want to face the music. America is in the pits. We have record amounts of the population in welfare, we’re being overrun by illegal immigrants from Latin America and China, who are surreptitiously taking over the economy, and we’re being suffocated by the dictatorship of political correctness, which sees sexism, racism, white privilege, and gets offended if you sneeze the wrong way, especially on left wing college campuses. I see Trump as our last hope. He’s the only one with the unabashed chutzpah to take on those who are destroying the country. He wants to put America first in all things, and that’s what we need. I also do like Ted Cruz.
