RG, You are ethnocentric. If people don’t follow your beliefs, they are radical. I quoted before from Rav of EY, Rav Tzvi Pesach Franik zt’l author of Har Tzvi who did not say Hallel at all on YH.

There is a famous story where the GRA and the Dubner Magid where together Shavous night. The GRA was saying Tikun Leil Shavuos and the Dubner Magid was learning. He was asked, why don’t you say Tikun Leil Shavuos like the GRA? He said I will give you a parable. If a peddler shows samples to his customers, it only makes sense if he has it in a storeroom. The GRA is well learned so can show samples, but I have to acquire my merchandize first by learning.

RG, learn how to translate something correctly. It doesn’t say to live the year, otherwise one being up yearly will never die. It means he wiil not die suddenly before his time.

You can use a flashlight for bedikas chametz for those who help out or in a car because it is safer to use but not for Chanukah because it needs a shiur.

Chosid, How old are you? Obviosly I said that from my experience of being up the whole night and at davenen I fell asleep and was unable to concetrate. It says אל תדין את חבירך עד שתגיע למקומו.

You call yourself a chosid, don’t you think it is important to daven with some kavonoh? They also have a later minyan, so obviously not everyone is up for the whole night.

According to the Kol Bo women are exempt from dependent mitzvos because their first responsibility is to the husband and families. Therefore it is wrong to deprive them from sleep.

RG, don’t make a general statement. If you off the OP, the Mishna says that these can shave Chol Hamoad, so we see that normally we can shave. The Chasam Sofer O’CH 159, whom I follow, says that there is nothing wrong normally to shave.

You have four levels, דומם, צומח, חי, מדבר, inanimate, plant, living and speaking. Each higher level elevates the lower level. We make a brocho שעשה לי כל צרכי on shoes because when wearing it, we take advantage from all lower levels. When we eat, we elevate food to a higher level of kadusha.

By kodshim the day comes first then night, because you can accomplish more in this world by doing mitzvos than next world. We have week days first because we suffer first than rest. Similarly, night comes first than day. By the goyim it is the opposite.

There is a Midrash, when someone is haughty and feels he should come first, we tell him a bug was created before you. If he would be smart, he would understand that because of his chashivus the human being was created last in order that everything should be avaiable for him like a set up table.
