Thinking it over, it is not simple. If he leaves the food over without touching it, it can be reused. If he tastes it and leaves it over, it loses its vakue. If he removes a piece into another plate to eat, the rest can be reused. He should be able to be mekadesh with the piece he removed.
May 14, 2019 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1727055Reb EliezerParticipantGaon, I would say yes. He can be mekadesh the ishoh because once he was given the food, it belongs to him to eat it or leave it over.
May 14, 2019 5:51 pm at 5:51 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1727030Reb EliezerParticipantThe two are related. If shaving with an electric shaver is assur because of simlas ishoh as no stubbles are left, he would be ovar on cutting with a razor.
Reb EliezerParticipantReb EliezerParticipantMy wifw and I made a shiduch when we just got married. I knew the choson and she knew the kallah.
May 14, 2019 12:08 pm at 12:08 pm in reply to: Saving shul seats, sidurrim for others not yet here #1726908Reb EliezerParticipantI will melamed zechus on the feet stompers as a symbol to eradicate and stomp on them with their feet.
May 14, 2019 8:54 am at 8:54 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726821Reb EliezerParticipantWhen two people say someone is drunk, he should lie down.
May 14, 2019 8:21 am at 8:21 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726817Reb EliezerParticipantYou have just proved the words of the Magen Avraham אין חכמה לאשה why a woman should not learn genora as also indicated by the klugeryid. It says על פי שנים עדים יקום דבר where two posters tell you that you are incorrect.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726582Reb EliezerParticipantHe can have a physical problem if he can’t have a beard so we don’t want him to be a shatz.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726581Reb EliezerParticipantIt does not say אם יש לו זקן indicating that he needs a beard to daven.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726580Reb EliezerParticipantAll this does not mean that he must have a beard, but be able to have a beard.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, because of anivus of Beis Hillel they allowed Beis Shamai first in order to hear an opposite view before they decide on their view to arrive to the truth, so it could not be Beis Hillel and Beis Shamai because Beis Shamai would have come first.
May 13, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726574Reb EliezerParticipantRG, sorry you don’t what you talking about as a woman. This is a clean way of saying that he is of age and ir does not mean a beard.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe same way as we praise a tzadik when we mention his name, we must praise Hashem. The Sefer Chasidim says that for this reason we should not say Hashem but Hashem Yisborach.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt can be a chiyuv on the tzibur and still a chiyuv on the oleh but not a chyuv on others if ten people listen.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says that the oleh should not say chazak chazak until he says the last brocho.
May 13, 2019 6:18 pm at 6:18 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726505Reb EliezerParticipantRG, even if a person not having a beard can also daven since it doesn’t say in SA O’CH 581 that he must have a beard. In HINENI the word ‘like’ is used to be seen as an older person who is personally having his own problems and concerned about his livelihood and family.
May 13, 2019 4:57 pm at 4:57 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726467Reb EliezerParticipantRG, do you follow the Beer Sheva by not wearing a wig outside and cover all your hair?
May 13, 2019 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726473Reb EliezerParticipantBTW a priest is called galach because he shaves the middle of his head.
May 13, 2019 4:41 pm at 4:41 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726472Reb EliezerParticipantWhen it comes to shaving, didn’t I bring a proof from the mishna paskened in SA 531?
May 13, 2019 3:04 pm at 3:04 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726409Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Respect people’s customs since they all have their gedolim like the Chasam Sofer to rely on and don’t be holier than thou.
May 13, 2019 1:51 pm at 1:51 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726331Reb EliezerParticipantThat is מספרין not מגלחין.
May 13, 2019 1:51 pm at 1:51 pm in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726342Reb EliezerParticipantlift and cut is a problem, otherwise try not pressing it to the face for a discussion see

In Rav Chaim’s time men were wearing pocket watches, but now men wear men’s wrist watches.
May 13, 2019 11:07 am at 11:07 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1726248Reb EliezerParticipantSA O’CH 261,2 paskens like the R’T motzoai shabbos. It is not a chumra, look at the Minchas Kohen in great detail. Erev Shabbos we have Tosfas Shabbos.
Reb EliezerParticipantI adopted a baby from Columbia having a dark complexion. Being different, he was bullied. When we complained, the principal in the yeshiva said, he should have a thick skin. He got married and finishes mishnayos for his mother’s yahr zeit.
May 13, 2019 8:45 am at 8:45 am in reply to: Does Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita prohibit men from shaving their beards? #1726093Reb EliezerParticipantyungerman123, How can you say that with a bearded face? It says in the mishna ואלו מגלחין במועד.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Are you for real? You look down and down grade everyone else but yourself?
Reb EliezerParticipantI say it.
May 12, 2019 5:58 pm at 5:58 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725750Reb EliezerParticipantRG, what is all the proof from מקרא? Where does it say gemora?
Reb EliezerParticipantAdopted fron birrh converted children have no problem getting married if they were brought up in a religious family.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Look up the midrash Shmuel on כל מחלוקת שהיא לשם שמים you find what you are saying as interpreted by the Shevet Sofer. The truth will emerge by having arguments.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, you really mean the opposite, being kenegdo is an ezer.
Reb EliezerParticipantYou are a kenegdo not an ezer.
May 10, 2019 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm in reply to: Is there a hetter for staying up both nights of Shavuos? #1725381Reb EliezerParticipantThere is no gemora telling us to stay up on the first night of Shavuos , so it is not like the second day of Yom Tov.
Stay up on your own and since the whole thing is a minhag, no baal tosif is involved like the Shagas Aryeh by todir and reshus.Reb EliezerParticipantצדיק גוזר והקב’ה מקיים
May 10, 2019 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725379Reb EliezerParticipantRG, we don’t like instigators. The Chasam Sofer always said חדש אסור מן התורה בכל מקום ובכל זמן stop reinventing the Torah.
May 10, 2019 11:56 am at 11:56 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725341Reb EliezerParticipantI meant to say the Bach’s view brought down by MB (8,19) is ‘not’ yotze.
May 10, 2019 10:11 am at 10:11 am in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725313Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Still the father is not suppose to teach his daughter because of tiflus because their learning is not the same as men, deepening into it. Their learning is as the daf yomi (oberfleflich) general knowledge more emphasis on the halochos. According to Rav Oehlbaum, bichas hatorah is a birchas Hahoduah and not a birchas hamitzva and therefore women are also responsible to say it as they also have a part in Torah.,
May 10, 2019 10:11 am at 10:11 am in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725311Reb EliezerParticipantRG, As mentioned you are a brocho levatolo using expressions like that makes you radical. The Bach happens to hold that their is a reason by three things tzitzis, tefilin and sukkos where the emphasis is kavono and without it, you are yotze.
May 9, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725215Reb EliezerParticipantWe find a similar idea by Rosh Chodash. It was given to the women as a reward because they were first to contribute to the mishkan but had to be forced to contribute to the eigel.
May 9, 2019 11:40 pm at 11:40 pm in reply to: Do women need to stay up all night of Shavuos? #1725221Reb EliezerParticipantRG, What the klugeryid says as his name, makes sense. It says by the eigel Shmos 32,6 וישכימו ממחרת
May 9, 2019 11:39 pm at 11:39 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725226Reb EliezerParticipantbeisyosef, did you look at the Yabia Omer tshuva (6,41) why the above author of Sefer Har Tzvi did not say Hallel at all?
Reb EliezerParticipantI just heard something interesting. In America the king is not the law, but the law is the king.
Reb EliezerParticipantAs stated before the women don’t have the mitzva of limud Torah personally but get the mitzva and benefit when they encorage their husbands to stay up.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, Yashlim Shanaso means he will complete his alloted years.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, This is quoted from the Ari z’l sefer kakvonos and it does not say yashlim hashono.
May 9, 2019 7:54 pm at 7:54 pm in reply to: Are women required to make brocha when saying on Hallel on YH? #1725161Reb EliezerParticipantRG, You are ethnocentric. If people don’t follow your beliefs, they are radical. I quoted before from Rav of EY, Rav Tzvi Pesach Franik zt’l author of Har Tzvi who did not say Hallel at all on YH.
Reb EliezerParticipantThere is a famous story where the GRA and the Dubner Magid where together Shavous night. The GRA was saying Tikun Leil Shavuos and the Dubner Magid was learning. He was asked, why don’t you say Tikun Leil Shavuos like the GRA? He said I will give you a parable. If a peddler shows samples to his customers, it only makes sense if he has it in a storeroom. The GRA is well learned so can show samples, but I have to acquire my merchandize first by learning.
Reb EliezerParticipantRG, learn how to translate something correctly. It doesn’t say to live the year, otherwise one being up yearly will never die. It means he wiil not die suddenly before his time.
