Reb EliezerParticipant
According to the Levush, once the women decided to go to work, men got used to it and now a man can expect her to go to work as it does not effect the men or the women anymore.
Reb EliezerParticipantujm, the Aruch Hashulchan accepts it based on the Levush but not the MB and don’t bring proofs from what it should be but what it is. Could be, should be, the fact is that currently women go to work and men became used to it and does not effect them any more. Look at the above teshuva which discusses the Aruch Hashulchan’s question which is very interesting.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe source of this is the above Levush that man don’t get affected any more as women are involved in masoh umaton, business, they became accustomed to it. See the above teshuva in great detail.

FYI The Rash in Kilaim 5,5 quotes the Pythagorean Theorem under Chachmei Hamidos. There is a book available in Amazon called
Rabbinical Mathematics and Astronomy by W. M. Feldman and GRA’s sefer Ayil Meshulash is available at hebrewbooks, org.Reb EliezerParticipantThe CDC is ruling that people who had COVID should still get vaccinared as the antibodies are not that effective against the delta variant.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Aruch Hashulchan paskens O’CH 75 that men can daven infront of women’s uncovered hair.

Reb EliezerParticipantThe vaccinated don’t get as sick to end up in the hospital and die as admitted by Senator Graham. The delta variant is very dangerous to the unvaccinated, so it is recommended to vaccinate which is the governments job to publicize the latest science.
Reb EliezerParticipantTo scream fire in a crowded theater is not free speech as to infect others by being unvaccinated.
Reb EliezerParticipantMy boss was a Rebetzin Lieff, Rav Schneiderman’s daughter.
Reb EliezerParticipantujm, circumstances change halacha. Everyone agrees that it would be better for her not to work. Schar Halimud and general livelihood for a big family have skyrocketed. It also says עשה שבתך חול ואל תצטרך לבריות, make your shabbos like a weekday and don’t rely on people. As mentioned above, if something unexpected happens, a family will have no natural lifeline. Also, אין סומכין על הנס, don’t rely on miracles.
Reb EliezerParticipantGedolim are chachamim who recognize reality and don’t ask people something they will not follow.
Reb EliezerParticipantSenator Elizbeth Warren wrote a book The Two Income Trap. It is an insurance for one spouse being laid off, getting sick or providing for unexpected expenses.
Reb EliezerParticipantMy wife a’h wanted gold jewelry, silver utensils and crystal glasses, so she worked for it.
Reb EliezerParticipantIt says in Parashas Reaih וסרתם מן הדרך you turn off the road ועבדתם אלהים אחרים and you worship sttange gods, asks the Chasam Sofee, how does the turn off the road lead to idol worshipping? He says אשר לא ידעתם you don’t realize that one thing leads to another and that is the start by turning off the accustomed walk on traditional way (mesorah, minhagim) can lead to sway away from Hashem.
Reb EliezerParticipantcommon saychel, no thanks, then I decline the position as you have abukspan the Maggid, and כל הישר בעיניו יעשה, let people do as they desire. This is the way the Chief Rabbi of New York, Rav Yaakov Yosef ztz’l was destroyed and was killed 15 years after coming to America. I can write daroshas without being CR of CR.
August 2, 2021 1:53 pm at 1:53 pm in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1996441Reb EliezerParticipantThere is no mitzva of hashovas aveida by a goy, so if he makes a mistake, its not our responsibility to tell except for kiddush Hashem.
August 2, 2021 1:51 pm at 1:51 pm in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1996436Reb EliezerParticipantI think we are against Greece philosophy because in many things like the existence of the soul is very similar to Jewish philosophy.
Reb EliezerParticipantSee the Chovas Halvavos Shaar Yichud Hamaaseh.
Reb EliezerParticipantWe ask in davenen והסר שטן מלפנינו ומאחרינו, remove the satan from before us and from behind us. The Tiferes Yisroel Perek (4,2,12) explains that when we want to do a mitzva, he stands infront of us to stop us from doing it, whereas by an aveira, he stands behind us, to allow us to do it.
Reb EliezerParticipantcommon saychel, what is the use of being CR of CR if you don’t follow in CR my ruling?
Reb EliezerParticipantcommon saychel, see https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/house-january-6th-commission reply #1995737
Reb EliezerParticipantWhen you have good merchandise, let the merchandise speak for itself. The yetzer hara talks a great deal because he has nothing good to sell compared to the yetzer tov who does not have to talk much.
The Chasan Sofer explains that Yosef did not listen to Potifar’s wife as she was constantly nudging him similar to the yetzer hara.Reb EliezerParticipantThe above Magen Avraham is SA O’CH 60 s’k 2.
Reb EliezerParticipantTo overcome the yetzer hara see:
Reb EliezerParticipantAccording to the Sefer Hachinuch there are also 6 mitvos that constantly apply. אנכי ה’ א-להיך, belief in Hashem, לא יהיה לך, not to believe in strange gods, יחודו, recognizing Hashem’s uniquness, אהבה, to love Him, יראה, to fear Him and לא תתור, not to get influenced by our heart and sight. Maybe the mnemonic can be א-לי, א-לי.
August 1, 2021 11:07 am at 11:07 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1996197Reb EliezerParticipantPlato learning from Yirmiahu Hanavi is mentiioned in Seder Hadoros. The Ravad’s time people only learned the Rambam, so he used a harsh language agaunst him.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Magen Avraham says to keep in mind the 6 zechiras by krias shema. ובנו בחרת, You chose us, kabolax hatora, וקרבתנו לשמך הגדול, broght us close to your name, which will be complete after the destruction of amolek, להודות לך, to praise You, use our mouth properly, not like Miriiam, וליחדך באהבה, to recognize Your unique might with love, not like the people in the midbar, ‘וזכרתם את כל מצוות ה, remember all Hashem’s comandments, shabbos which comprizes all commandments and אשר הוצאתי אתכם מארץ מצרים, yetzias mitzraim and he finishes by saying tto drop he talis from the shoulders when saying krias shema. Maybe like the Midrash says to be surrounded by all sides with mitzvos.
August 1, 2021 9:53 am at 9:53 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1996186Reb EliezerParticipantAvira, as I said before to capitalize a word is showing respect and by you aristotle is given more respect than the Rambam.
Reb EliezerParticipantCTLAWYER, your views weee always appreciated, all rhe besr and refuah sheleima bekarov.
Reb EliezerParticipantMaybe Torah observent judaism.
Reb EliezerParticipantShould be above, without faulting myself as I am faulting him which is ridiculous
Reb EliezerParticipantWe simply call them a religious Jew.
Reb EliezerParticipantcoffee addict, according to you I could never point out if someone is faulting me without faulting him, so it applies to the one who does the first faulting.
Reb EliezerParticipantHealth, again the same thing one faults another with his own faults.
Reb EliezerParticipantReb EliezerParticipantHealth, as I said before כל הפוסל במומו פוסל, one who faults, faults with his own faults, Jackk is not a liar.
Reb EliezerParticipantHealth, the committee is more intersted to find the truth than you are.
Reb EliezerParticipantCS, as you said I should be CR of CR, I have ruled and is a known fact that god without being capitalized is an a’z and you are giving respect to it by not writing it out.
Reb EliezerParticipantOne way to fight the yetzer hara is to keep in mind the holy Alashich’s vort, והיה עקב תשמעון as the end will be that we will be forced to listen through a melech kasha kehaman, a king harsh like haman, וידעת היום we might as well take to heart now and liisten now.
Reb EliezerParticipantMaybe we can learn a new pshat on גם כי אלך בגיא צלמות when a person where his physical codition causes spritual depression, the yetzer hara affects him, nothing bad will happens to him if he realizes that the rod, stick or crutch is there to comfort him and has not been forsaken like a father who says I hit you because I love you.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Arvei Nachal in Parashas Shelach explains the three means to recognize the yetzer hara’s influence over the yetzer tov. One, if something is done with a greater ferver than usual, two, how would one feel if done by someone else and three if all else fails, do the sin with a small neasure and see your reaction. When David Hamelech wanted to kill Shaul he instead cut off his shirt’s corner and felt bad about it, so he knew that he should not touch him.
Reb EliezerParticipantThe Baal Akeida explains the meaning of הרהורי עבירה קשה מעבירה. thinking of a sin is worse than the sin itself, rationalising, explaining an aveira by minimizing it and saying there is nothing wrong in doing it.
The GRA explains the gemora in Shabbos (12,1) where Rav Yishmoel ben Elisha bent the wick and said afterwards. how great are the words of the chachamim who said in the mishna not to read by a candle light and did not mention a reason for it. When a reason is known, one rationalizes by saying, by me it does not apply as king Shlomo married many women (1000) hy saying that the prohibition of being swayed away from Hashem by them does not apply to me.Reb EliezerParticipantWe must act differently in EY, in rhe palace of the King.
Reb EliezerParticipantBenephraim, most poskim (Baer Hetev 345,8) including the RMA pasken that currently there is no reshus harabim min Hatorah, so rely on the Eiruv.
Reb EliezerParticipantKnow what you getting into!
July 28, 2021 10:48 am at 10:48 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1995299Reb EliezerParticipantThe question of the OP because of their worshipping a’z but currently their is no a’z as they follow their custom, so their is a kiddush Hashem to help them.
July 28, 2021 10:17 am at 10:17 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1995273Reb EliezerParticipantIn any case, the same logic applies by selling. We make money from something that should not be gotten any enjoyment from but be burried.
July 28, 2021 10:09 am at 10:09 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1995261Reb EliezerParticipantNo, you make money from bosor bechalav when you sell it.
Reb EliezerParticipantHealrh, did you listen yesterday that it is not the same. Your stubborness is out of this workl. You only listen to what you want to listen to. How many cops where killed by them? The Party of Law and Order killed and wounded over 140 police!
July 28, 2021 10:07 am at 10:07 am in reply to: Are you allowed to give Tzeddakah/charity to Non-Jews #1995247Reb EliezerParticipantAvira, there is another expression קשה גרים לישראל כספחת, converts is bad, hurt Jews, when they convert and bring themselves close to Hashem, similarly the goyim when doing chesed hurt Jews.
