Is that a serious question? Firstly because they don’t think they will die alone if not married by 19 and the guys have jobs and therefore don’t only go out with the girls who come from money and if not will wait for the girls from next years class

According to Rebetzin Kanievsky A’H and quoted in her book, if you know your parents would daven for you then it is a mitzva of Kibud Av Vaim to tell them immediately and one is over the mitzva by not doing so.

There is a Tefila that many say called Nega Tzaraas. It is 12 psukim each beginning an ending with a “NUN”. I received the psukim to say from Reb Shloime Levine, the only living child of Reb Aryeh Levine as well as Rebetzin Kanievsky A’H, a grandchild of Reb Aryeh.

Rav Chaim’s daughter, Rebetizin Koldetsky sees women and men before Reb Chaim davens Mincha in the house. It is an amazing experience to see her.

I do not consider myself mo-dox. I grew up and live in Flatbush, went to all “regular” yeshivas and am now a working, colored shirt wearing, bal habus who is kovea itim on a daily basis and loves learning.

Thank you all for the replies. Passaic or Clifton seems to be over an hour drive. My ideal scenario would be somewhere near Lakewood to cut the commute time as I currently live in Brooklyn now.

@ Torah613. The rav who told you about the kibud av vaem is truly special and unique. He is a mekubal who does not do “freaky” things. He will simply tell you to work on the basics like halacha and minyan but the honoring your parents segula, he brings down in his seforim many times.

Garden of emunah is excellent. So is the essence of emuna by Rav Gamliel Rabinovich. There is a Hebrew and English version depending on your preference.

If you have “real” friends, why would you base such a huge life decision on the opinions of a blog by people who know nothing about you?

Not entirely relevant but still on the Tefilin subject….I recently found out that my Tefilin were written by a sofer by the name of R’ Yisroel Rosensweig from EY and that they are worth a lot of money. Is anyone familiar with him and what makes his Tefilin so valuable? Thank you.

I booked it and have my flight itinerary in hand. El Al has released a statement saying they will honor it and this was the fault of a third party. By DOT regulations, once they take payment for a ticket, they can not add fees and have to honor it besides for the whole PR mess it would have caused.

The reason is because someone who is at the seuda of a pidyon it is considered as if he fasted 40 fasts. Therefore to give many more people this opportunity, we give out garlic and sugar which is a food that can be spread into many other foods and many people can partake.

I have found the greatest segula for marriage……DATING!! We need to lower our standards and marry people for the good person they are and stop focusing on minor things which we blow up into deal breakers.
