Great location- right in Geula. NOT A GOOD IDEA TO POST THE ADDRESS. Uniform is button down and pleated. Dorm is new and nice. 4 girls per room. Each room has a private bathroom and shower.

Machon Raaya is definitely a BY school. Like anywhere , I can’t vouch for every single girl. But the overall element is absolutely not into secular things such as movies and non Jewish music.

Bygirly , my daughter is in machon Raaya now and bh she does not have any of the issues you mentioned, nor do any of her friends there! They are all frum, solid tzniusdik (smart), fun girls, that are looking to be challenged. And a very large majority are quite “in the box “. Definitely a few amazing self made girls. Over all an incredible place!!

Machon Raaya is a BY school. A lot of out of town girls. I don’t know Darchei Bina. It’s quite academic . Text based. Great solid frum growing girls. But all coming from a BY standard. And these girls know how to have fun too.

The staff is warm, amazing, and will do anything to make the girls happy .

The building is brand new , right in the heart of geulah. Location couldn’t be any better!

Not especially yeshivish but very frum, Tznius and growing girls. Lots of out of town. ( my daughter is definitely “in town,”)And my daughter has loads of personality – the life of the party and definitely knows how to have a good time. She is having an amazing experience since day 1! So far not at all overwhelmed by the work.

My daughter is there now. So far it seems very manageable. The tests aren’t hard. The reports probably will be- she didn’t get her big report assignment yet. It’s very much text based. She is having an amazing time so far! Definitely plenty of “chill” and fun time. She absolutely LOVES everything about her seminary. Oh- and working hard is new to her- she definitely did not overwork in high school!

About Machon Raaya, the girls are a great mix. My daughter is definitely full of personality and so are her friends there. When speaking to her it sounds like they’re in camp;). Definitely nothing to worry about in that department !

Musical dignity, Machon Raaya really sounds like a good fit for you. Except for the fact that you’ll have to work hard. But you sound capable of it, so why not challenge yourself?

Musical dignity, I also think Machon Raaya is a good choice for you- if you are academic. Its a real BY school, but not especially yeshivish. Lots of out town girls. There are four girls in every room- each girl from a different state/country. My daughter is there now. We did lots of research and it’s an awesome place. They just moved to a beautiful new building right in Geula. There are around 65 girls- not too big, not too small. She just left a week ago- but so far she’s thrilled:)

She can open a joint account with you. (I know chase has what they call a high school checking account). I’m sure other banks have the same thing. She can have a visa debit card and use that in Israel. She can pull money from any ATM there for a small fee.

OOM, not sure about your year, but this year the seminaries had 30% more applicants than previous years, so it was a a very hard year to get in. Excellent girls didn’t get in to any sems they applied to.

Nanny, there is a new seminary opening up for next year- I think it’s called kesser Chaya. It’s geared to the strong BY girl. but not intensely academic. That might be an option for you.

I was on the old program many yrs ago. It worked. I went on the new program last year. It’s a great program. Very realistic. The free fruits and veggies are awesome. It’s not a quick fix weight loss program. It’s designed for a 1/2 to 2 lb per week loss. If you go off the diet though, you don’t gain everything right back! I had a baby a few months ago, and actually just went back on last week!

Thank you all. I was told I am allowed to prepare my “gebroks” food before Shabbos. The reason we eat gebroks Acharon shel pesach is to show its just a chumrah. That’s our minhag, and many other families minhag!

I heard its supposed to be a great place, they dont care how small their sem ends up being as long as they only have good girls. Theyre 85/90 average and for solid bais yaakov girls.
