Longarekel: the Teiva on har Ararat, and Shancheirav’s children fled to Ararat.

It is interesting to note nisroch who he was praying to was a board from the teivah(Rashi), and after his sons killed him they fled to Ararat which has affiliation to the teivah.

great bear: There are people who are cholek, but this is a famous Rashba(I don’t know how one argues on the Rashba without having some backup ). I don’t know what you mean out of context the Rashba made this statement. Gedolim have applied it to certain things women do and if women do it and we forgot the reason there is still something kodesh to it.

BTGuy: You are correct it has to do with Yosef. In mesheches Berachos 20 R’Yochanon said he descended from Yosef and said he was above ayin hara(see in gemara how the dialogue began).R’Avahu explains the bracha Yosef got alei ayin is read olei ayin(above the eye)and R’Yossi bar Channina says from the bracha of Yosef’s children v’yigdul larov, just like the fish are covered by water and cannot be seen by the eye so too the children of Yosef. Also Yosef did not look at what was forbidden to him ,so to he is above.

The question was what is the source so Rav Chaim gave a source. If it was shtus or darchei ha’emori he would say so.”He doesn’t want to say it out right” I disagree, what he holds he says.

Walking between two women, eating something a mouse ate from, eating a heart of an animal, drinking water from leftover washing, washing one foot over the other, some say sleeping on ones clothing. The gemara in Horayos 13 has a list of things which makes it hard to learn.
