If a person once they get married changes their personality or hid their real personality during the dating process and they start to act as a totally different person do you really think that the spouse should love a person who deceived them so?

Love and respect are two different things perhaps the love will always be there in some form but once the respect is gone the love will wane.

Rema was that a serious post? if so i have to say i cant disagree more people change sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse and if for the worse than obviously the esteem from their spouse would wane.

That was not what I meant at all oomis, my family was a frum family, but in a Torah true home would a child be mentally and physically abused? would a person born with disabilities be made to feel ashamed and guilty in a Torah true home? in a Torah true home would any parent ever hate their child and relish in making sure that child knew that in their eyes he was worthless? they were frum but they did not live the Torah in my house.

Why did straw hats on Yeshiva Bochrim go the way of the dinosaurs? you rarely see them anymore but back in the day all the bochrim wore them and some would were suits that were not black also, and also clean shaven was the norm.

I define Yeshivish as someone who is a lamdan and has good middos, one without the other would not qualify.

Most people don’t despise Silver because he is Jewish they despise him because he is corrupt, we should be held to a higher standard and when we don;t live up we should be the ones ashamed, in some circles breaking the law is considered no big deal as long as it benefits the community this is certainly a Chilul Hashem.

Tonight I made shake and bake chicken legs and caramelized carrots with garlic, for the carrots just peel, cut in one inch pieces toss with salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil, put them in for 45 minutes at 375 in a roasting pan (i used a cake pan it came out fine) take out add 3 cloves of garlic minced toss add more oil if needed put in for about 15 minutes more the carrots should be tender but not mushy and caramelized tastes sweet and flavorful.

If you don’t like the gashmiusdik culture of the city/neighborhood you reside you should look to move elsewhere but even if u must be in that area you the parent can define what is proper and what is not, they say it takes a village to raise a child but if you are not happy with the people in your village then you may not like how your child turns out.

Flatbush you put the onus on the Rabbeim it should be put on the parents the apples don’t fall far from the tree. If someone comes from a wealthy family than they should have things that are of a higher quality because they can afford it, but doing so without crossing the line into showing off it can be done.

It’s always easier to spend others peoples money rather than money you yourself earned.

When you work to earn money you realize how much it is truly worth because you have struggled, sweated, and been inconvenienced for it and therefore you are more careful about how you spend it , just like people on food stamps who I see in my store every day it stifles ambition why bother working when you can live on the taxpayers dime.

My best advice for parents of adult children is do not treat your adult children differently based on their marital status, when I lived at home and my married siblings would come to visit for Yom Tovim they would sit and relax at the table like kings but this cinderfella had to do all the shlepping from kitchen to table and back and back again , while my parents A”H would slave over the cooking of meals while the young married royalty did very very little, and if they did dare suggest to my parents that they clear the table they would be shouted down of course not!! ____ will do it, because they were married so they and their spouses were no longer suitable for clearing a table and they knew that my parents and I were overworked preparing for their visit and catering to them and the truth is they reveled in their status as royalty.

I don’t say this now to shame them I have forgiven them for everything they have done to me, I am just using this as an example of what NOT to do.

Yes we can attack him for his harmful policies and mismanagement of our country but personal attacks based on anything else such as race, religion, looks, and so on are wrong, it irritates me when opponents make fat jokes about Governor Christie if you disagree with his policies than take him to task for that not his weight.
