Trasnslation [although not from a chushoveh poster yw-21]

IN Pas habah b’cisnin [lit. bread that is with cisnin -sweets– snack bread..] The early sages [also referred to as rishonim but since we do not know hebrew i am not sure if you use that term] In the rishonim there are three main shitos.

1 dough that is made like a pocket? that is filled with nuts and honey and other sweets.

    2. Bread made with many nuts and spices

    3. Like dried acin [whats that?!?!] eaten by itself at a beis hamishtah

L’halachah the Shulcahn Aruch paskens l’koolah and says to make mezonos and al hamichya

but one who looks in the words of the rishonim and poskim will see that they argue on this. [ not like how the derech hachaim and ma’amer mudcheh [mordechai]

l’choirah [ anyone knows how to translate l’choirah {the mesoros hashas brings down the aruch kesubos 54 a on the bottom of the amud that it means when you open something and look at it at first light and it is loshon arami http://www.hebrewbooks.org/pdfpager.aspx?req=14309&pgnum=108&hilite= on the side of rashi by the bottom]]]]

either way lchoirah there is what to look into when you eat sweet bread since it is a safef [because of machlokes] and [the nafka minah is ] by a seudah of pas drinks [except wine] are potur from a brachah after the pas and from the safek [ there is a rule safek brachos l’hakel– a safek by brachos we are lenient and do not make a brachah.] you should not make a brachah on the drinks.??

[i must look into this inyan more

well now the cr also has a part time translator.]

A—I DID NOT KILL HIM; I DON’T KNOW WHO DID KILL HIM

B—I DID NOT KILL HIM; I WAS NOT AT THE MURDER

C—I DID NOT KILL HIM; ‘A’ WAS NOT WITH ME ATTHE MURDER.

D—I DID NOT KILL HIM; ‘A’ IS SAYING THE COMPLETE TRUTH.

    remember 1 liar 1truth 2 half

1murderer 1witness 1guy who knows who did it 1 innocent

step number 1. there is only one statement that is true in the second statements.

since there is only one complete truth, everyone must use their truths to make themselves not the murderer. the complete liar is naturally the murderer.

    2. with this explained ‘d’ second statement can not be true since he is saying ‘a’ is the complete truth. therefore it is false and ‘a’ is not saying the complete truth—meaning he is one of the halfs. so we no d is saying at least one lie and a is also.

    3. naturally ‘a’ is saying the first truth and second false since only the complete false is the murderer.

    4. going back to ‘d’ if his first statement is false [murdered] than it will come out either b or c is lying on the second statement [their first statements are true since ‘d’ is the murderer] now no matter how you put ‘c’ true or false he is still the witness. just the matter is whether a is there or not.

so if c is lying there will be two witnesses a and c so that can not be.

and if b is lying than b was there and c still has to be there so it can not be d

5.so d must be true on the first and false on the second and a is true on the first false on the second–meaning he is the guy who knows who did it.

    6. so we have left a complete liar and complete truth.

now if b is truth and c is lie it will be some sort of answer but we will never find out who knows- it cannot be ‘a’ since he is the witness and ‘c’ is not the witness since he is the murderer.

so we will never know who knows and i wrote their will be a definite answer.

7.now if c is true and ‘d’ is false everything works out.

a true lie knows who did it.

    b false false–murderer

    c true true– witness

    d true false-innocent

this is the only way it works

there is one big hint in this riddle about who knows… ‘a’ is the only one who talks about knowing and since we are not just making assumptions it must be him

    you chap?!?!?!?!

how is that who is lying who is truth ….

i think it is impossible because i think you are saying A is half [he is not the murderer but he knows meaning first statement true, second false] ‘b’ complete truth [did not kill him and not there] and ‘d’ is the murderer [because whoever is the liar is the murderer]

But what about c? we only have a half left meaning that a is there. [second statement will be false]?

    this is not the answer

    have some seichel,

you definitely have SOME seichel but you are slightly wrong

I wont give away the answer but by

‘A’ you say he just knows it and by c you say ‘a’ was there

also in your answer there are two witnesses ‘a’ and ‘c’ [because even if it is false ‘c’ will always be there] keep trying

HERE IS A RIDDLE I RECENTLY MADE.

The facts- The police interrogated 4 people. They know one of them is a murderer, one a witness, one knows who did it and one is innocent.

THERE IS ONE COMPLETE LIAR, ONE COMPLETE TRUTH-TELLER, AND TWO ARE HALF WAY.

    THEY EACH SAID TWO STATEMENTS.

YOU WILL FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHO EVERYONE IS WITH ONLY ONE POSSABLE WAY FOR EVERYONE.

    THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID…

A LEE TUCKER – I DID NOT KILL HIM; I DON’T KNOW WHO DID KILL HIM

B LEROY LANDRY- I DID NOT KILL HIM; I WAS NOT AT THE MURDER

C ICH-BIN A. MATVAV- I DID NOT KILL HIM; ‘A’ WAS NOT WITH ME ATTHE MURDER.

D I.M.A. SHMOIGEL- I DID NOT KILL HIM; ‘A’ IS SAYING THE COMPLETE TRUTH.

NOTE: IF C SECOND STATEMENT IS FALSE IT WILL BE A WAS NOT WITH ME ETC. IF D STATEMENT IS FALSE IT WILL

BE THAT A IS NOT SAYING COMPLETE TRUTH. [ALTHOUGH ME AND MY CHAVRUSAH CHESBONNED A VERY LUMDISHE CALCULATION THAT IF D IS SAYING A IS SAYING A COMPLETE LIE [THIS IS ONLY IF HE IS LYING] THE REST OF THE RIDDLE WON’T WORK OUT. TRY IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE]

watch who you are attacking a killjoy. and yes the minhag to play dreidel is brought down by the bnei yisochor [or more commonly known as the bnei yisuschor] and the chasam sofer kept this minhag.playing with money there is no makor.

i saw in shu’t mekadeish yisrael on chanukah http://www.hebrewbooks.org/9663 that you should play with pennies so each time you get is less than perutah or you are vadai gomer da`as with a penny that the other guy is koneh. vcholu

what bothers me is in the times of the yevonim they played dreidel when they would be killed if they were caught learning, bzman hazeh we all run away from are gmaras to a game of dreidel. We are still fighting the yevonim

    This agav is big takalah in the shidduch crisis is when the parents do not want the same thing as the girl. The parents might want a more with-it or wealthy person, when this girl just came back from seminary brainwashed how her husband must be from a-z. and vice-versa. I have heard of an unmarried 31 year old who it did not work out for her when she was younger because the father chas v`shalom can not have an eidim who has a square back [ while the father himself is clean-shaven and naturally does have a square back!] while the girl wanted a regular guy. It would be a good joke if it would not be reality;

there are many eruvim in Lakewood. supposedly the cong. sons of israel has one which the oilam does not use at all. Then each community has its own eruv. In the 14th street area a lot of eruvim were put together from the area of hope road to forest ave.

Rabbi forcheimer does not hld in the eruvim that cross 14th since it is a mavui haposuach lerishus harabim [rt 9] .
