{“The verdict is decreed by the destroying angels, and the request is through the maamar of the holy ones” (Daniel 4:14).} And in the matter of prayer, there are two approaches. Before the decree has been issued we follow the regular order of prayer and there is no need to veil the prayers. But after the decree has been issued our prayers have to be disguised <within stories>, so that the <accusing angels> standing to the left do not understand and protest. As is written, “The verdict is decreed by the destroying angels”—i.e., when it is after the decree has been issued—then, “the request is through the maamar of the holy ones”—then the tzaddikim disguise their requests in a maamar.

Now, each person must say: “The entire world was created only for my sake” (Sanhedrin 37a). Consequently, because the world was created for my sake, I must constantly look into and consider ways of making the world better; to provide what is missing in the world and pray on its behalf.

One of the major symptoms of the general crisis existent in our world today is our lack of sensitivity to words. We use words as tools. We forget that words are a repository of the spirit. The tragedy of our times is that the vessels of the spirit are broken. We cannot approach the spirit unless we repair the vessels. Reverence for words – an awareness of the wonder of words, of the mystery of words – is an essential prerequisite for prayer. By the word of G-d the world was created

We worry a great deal about the problem of temple and state. Now what about the temple and G-d? Sometimes there seems to be a greater separation between the temple and G-d than between the temple and state.

Indifference to evil is more insidious than evil itself. It is a silent justification affording evil acceptability in society.

When faith is completely replaced by creed, worship by discipline, love by habit; when the crisis of today is ignored because of the splendors of the past; when faith becomes an heirloom rather than a living fountain; when religion speaks only in the name of authority rather than with the voice of compassion, its message becomes meaningless.

@Yechiell, please don’t insult me by comparing me to george santos.
Jane goodall at the WEF forum: In the video, she says: “We cannot hide away from human population growth, because it underlies so many of the other problems. All these things we talk about wouldn’t be a problem if the world was the size of the population that there was 500 years ago.”
See, their issue is that there are too many people..

Today is the end of the state of emergency, May 11th, something used to bypass all the laws and that made our lives quite miserable, for more than 3 years. A world before and a world after that is starting from now on. I can see here a lot of efforts made to distract us from helding our govts accountable.

On May 8, 2023, France reached incredible heights of ridicule, heights that we thought were inaccessible. Even if we had had some warning signs with the choice of certain members of the government: the breathtaking responses, the overflowing passion of the Minister of the Economy for the dilation to the point that he made a book of it, or more so by the number of government officials embroiled in conflict of interest or legal cases, not to mention Schiappa’s Playboy coverage.

We thought we had reached the climax with the arm of honor from the minister of the justice to the national representation. Such a lack of respect which is matched only by that of the former Minister of Health Buzyn who decided not to go to the last two convocations of the Court of Justice of the Republic.

Last May 8, ‘Emmanuel Macron, with acute paranoia, a superiority complex, a visceral cowardice or an irrepressible need to be reassured and perpetually flattered, privatizes the Champs-Élysées to avoid having to go up them under other casserolades, boos from a hostile people, and “Macron Resignation” louder than a referendum. It transformed into a desolation devoid of meaning and soul, a commemoration of the victory of the Allies over Nazi barbarism which until then had been a great moment of contemplation and popular jubilation. A parade, yes, but only if he’s alone, no one was allowed to be around, not even at the balcony..

When there is a war, there is profit. When there is a crisis, there is a profit, for the first time in EU, Borrell had the courage to tell the truth:
Borrell on Wednesday, was arguing that it all depends on Western military supplies to Kiev.

“I know how to end the war immediately,” Borrell told La Sexta’s El Intermedio show. “Stop providing military aid to Ukraine and Ukraine [will] have to surrender in a few days. That’s it, the war is over,” the EU top diplomat insisted.

@Avram md ” You have it backwards. The Torah is our guide to the “real world.” What you call the “real world” I call the olam hasheker.” :
    – Olam hasheker for sure, but still the torah says one who study and doesn’t put this in practice, its considered vain..

And apparently I’m not the only seeing this issue and for once I agree with AAQ when he says “you seem to see the world only as they relate to Jews. This seems to contradict r Miller quote above: if you choose to be friends with reshoyim if they don’t hurt us personally, you may hvsh invite them to hurt us and only then learn the lesson. Abraham Heschel, while still in Nazi Germany, wrote a “historical” discussion that Sephardim were kicked out of Spain for a reason. Otherwise, they’d join Spaniards in their brutality in America’s – and it is better to be a victim than a perpetrator, sending a message to the German Jews who were upset that Nazis weren’t letting them be patriotic Germans

I agree with you, the issue is when you say something like this to another Jew, he will then ask you if you are Jewish or even perhaps antisemitic. Some people just don’t want to get out of their comfort zone, perhaps some ego issues too. Pathetic.

@Avram Md, I’m Jewish! Are you MD? It doesn’t seem like you got my point either. While so many people are studying complex torah lessons, they seem to be out of touch with what is happening in the real world. Not that I’m not saying there is anything wrong with that, far from it, in a time like today, we must be more involved in the society, wether it’s a ‘Jewish’ subject or not, am I entitled to have an opinion here?!

    @Yserbius
I look into several medias all over the world, and several posts from different people, are you mentioning Rotschild and the Globalists implying that I get my sources from an antisemitic/ leftist media? I never researched what Rotchild does or doesn’t. It’s a well known family of bankers, very often pointed at the scapegoat, but beside that I won’t be able to tell you more about them. Regarding the “globalists” you will have to develop, it’s seems quite vague to me!
To demonstrate such a narrow state of mind shouldn’t be associated with judaism, I feel sorry for both of you.

@nomesorah “But the more the dust settles it’s more and more apparent that the USA really bungled this whole thing. (And I don’t mean that as a political indictment or endorsement. Americans struggled with adversity on a national scale. For maybe the first time in it’s history.)”
I will ad to this: America started struggling on a international scale, then it became national. People start seeing how their govt is doing others nations wrong and themselves too. No one can tolerate this totalitarian regime any longer.

As sickening as it might be, this rabbi sent a warning message. We should see it as a distress signal. If jews don’t stand up right now, it might get too late. Each day, our strenght and our faith is getting tested. We are at war, and we must acknowledge this.

Common sahel, it’s time to wake up, there is something called the Vatican, an organization which the power has been underestimated. Not that I’m interested in their insane ideologies but we need to be aware of what decision is being taken and for what “religious” purpose. Some people in politics much more involved with them and the EU parlament are pointing at this thing, and for a reason. I know the maltese order has a lot of power, they recently reformed their constitution, if you look at it, you see some shocking details such as “noble blood” allowed to take some positions and the not so noble blood appointed for other labors…

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange wrote a letter to King Charles III on Friday, calling on the monarch to visit His Majesty’s Prison Belmarsh and observe the “world class” conditions within its walls.

Assange described the maximum security lockup as being “just a short foxhunt from the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich,” telling the King that it must be “delightful” to have “such an esteemed establishment bear your name.”

“As a political prisoner, held at Your Majesty’s pleasure on behalf of an embarrassed foreign sovereign, I am honoured to reside within the walls of this world class institution,” Assange continued. “Truly, your kingdom knows no bounds.”
