Agudah Camps to Participate in USDA Summer Food Service Program


Camp Agudah and Camp Bnos, divisions of Agudath Israel of American Community Services, Inc., continuing their practice of ensuring campers receive healthy and nutritious food, will once again be participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), a federally-funded, state-administered program. Meals will be provided to all children 18 years and under without charge. In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its agencies, offices and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the state or local agency where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (AD-3027), found online at https://www.ascr.usda.gov/ad-3027-usda-program-discrimination-complaint-form, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. The following sites will be participating as camp sites. To be eligible to receive free meals at a camp, children must meet the income guidelines for reduced price meals in the National School Lunch Program.

Camp Agudah, 140 Upper Ferndale Road, Ferndale, NY. From July 2 through August 26, 2019: Breakfast 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM; Lunch 1:45 – 3:00 PM; Supper 6:50 – 7:59 PM; Supplement 4:40 PM – 4:55 PM.

Camp Bnos, 344 Ferndale Loomis Road, Liberty, NY. From July 2 through August 26, 2019: Breakfast 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM; Lunch 1:30 – 2:30 PM; Supper 6:40 – 7:40 PM; Supplement 4:00 – 5:00 PM
