Weiner to Hold Town Hall Meetings To Discuss Latest Developments in the Middle East

New York City – Following his recent Congressional mission to Israel, Egypt and Turkey, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-Queens and Brooklyn) will hold town hall meetings in Brooklyn and Queens to discuss the latest issues facing Israel and the Middle East. The wide-ranging discussions with constituents will touch on the relationship between America and Israel, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and Iran, among other topics.

“With Israel and America looking to restart the Middle East peace process, and with this area of the world playing such an important role in global politics and security, it is exceedingly important that Americans understand the issues involved,” Weiner said. “When my colleagues and I recently travelled to the Middle East, we were fortunate to be given a first-hand look at what was going on. This is information I want to share with my constituents.”

Both meetings will take place this Sunday, January 31, 2010. The first town hall is scheduled for 10 A.M. at The Young Israel of Bedford Bay, which is located at 2114 Brown Street, between Avenue U and Avenue V in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The second will be in Queens at 1:30 P.M. at Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, which is located at 70-11 150th Street, between 70th Avenue and Jewel Avenue.

Rep. Weiner has been outspoken in his support of Israel’s security, and he has been a leading advocate for moving the Israeli capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Weiner has also been critical of the Saudi Arabian government for publishing school textbooks that preach hatred towards Jews and Americans, and has called for foreign aid to Saudi Arabia to be cut.

  1. Rep. Weiner may be a supporter of Israel, but he’s also a supporter of Obamacare. Hmmm, 1:30 PM in Queens, doesn’t sound like a time of day too many people are likely to show up and take him to task.

  2. I’d like to discuss his upcoming marriage to a bas yishmoel.

Anthony, you’re pro Israel in your rhetoric but in your heart you have chosen the other side to build your future with. That tells me that your powerful pro Israel voice is just plain old politics. If some day in the future your wifes extended mishpocho were the majority in your district you’d vote against Isreal.

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL-BREAK YOUR ENGAGEMENT NOW!!!
