PHOTOS: Work Continues In Meron As Lag B’Omer Nears

United Hatzalah, Chasdei Shabtai, and Hachnasas Orchim Ohr HaRashbi are all working in concert as preparations for Lag B’Omer 5778 continue.

Hachnasas Orchim is preparing to distribute drinks and snacks to tens and tens of thousands of visitors to the tziyun of the Rashbi during Lag B’Omer. Their services are of course without any charge to the recipient.

This year, with Lag B’Omer falling on a Thursday, additional tents are being set up which will provide minyanim with ongoing kriyas Hatorah.

At Chasdei Shabtai, which operates in Meron year-round, they too are preparing for Lag B’Omer. Officials report they have completed the preparation for the days by increasing the stock of medications, wheelchairs, and medical equipment. The organization regularly calls on the tzibur to carry their medications with them, from home.

United Hatzalah officials advise persons who will be in Meron or to and from the location, to call 1221 in a medical emergency to receive an immediate response.
