Barak Remains Tough Against White Collar Terrorism

barak2.jpgTo his credit, Defense Minister Ehud Barak remained firm in the face of an arrest threat, unwilling to heed to calls to possibly cancel a planned visit to the UK as white collar terrorist-supporting attorneys sought to have an international arrest warrant issued against him.

There simply is no other way to describe using the legal system to have an international warrant issued for the defense minister of the State of Israel, in this case, a former IDF chief of staff, a man who dedicated his life to defending the Jewish state and to combating terrorism. Barak in particular, who remains the most highly decorated soldier in the history of the IDF, is known to have taken part in a number of missions against terrorism outside the boundaries of the state, and today, he is being targeted by Gazan-based Hamas terrorists, who has enlisted the support of white collar emissaries, in this case in the UK.

The hypocrisy is accompanied by a deafening cry of injustice and abuse of democratic principles that should elicit the ire of civilized leaders, who sit back and watch, permitting the legal system to be used and abused by Islamic terrorists. It would appear there have not been any lessons learned from 9/11, as the White House today has become another safe-haven for terrorist leaders adorned in suits and ties, recipients of red-carpet welcoming ceremonies, as the elected president of the nation that is viewed as the leader of the free world repeatedly extends is misguided, albeit well-intentioned hand of peace, to the enemies of world, those who remain determined to eradicate any way of life differing from the dictates of Islamic fundamentalism, the ways of Iran and others that support Tehran’s agenda.

Tuesday was accompanied by more than a modicum of stress and diplomatic parley as Jerusalem and London officials aggressively worked to prevent the issuing of the warrant by a London court, but the minister rode out the storm and remained firm in the face of opposition, unwilling to succumb to Hamas’ latest non-conventional weapon, charges of war crimes by the enemy against a senior representative of the Jewish State.

The diplomatic card played did the trick as the British Foreign Secretary’s Office informed the court that Mr. Barak is an official state guest, and as such, enjoys diplomatic immunity, with Barak telling the media he is not going to permit “terrorism to win”. The minister added he will not run and he will not apologize for Israel’s actions.

In the meantime, the enemies of the Jewish People, those who openly brandish their weapons and those who opt to mask their true agenda behind a suit and tie, are all too willing to take on Hamas’ and Iran’s cause, with some launching their deadly offensive in the form of rockets, while others prefer to add an air of legitimacy, using the legal systems of democratic nations to advance the agenda of Islamic fundamentalist terrorists, now given a major boost by the UN’s so-called Human Rights Agency mandate, given to the Goldstone Commission.

  1. This is a man who disguised himself as a woman (probably made quite a handsome woman, too) to bring deadly justice to PLO terrorists who had murdered Israelis athletes in Munich. He has backbone, something sorely lacking in too many others who would cast themselves as “leaders.”

  2. When the Arabs fail on the battle field, they try their luck in European court rooms. The problem is that Europeans hate Jews to such a degree that they are willing to lend a hand to Arabs even though they know full well that the Arabs are looking to destroy them as well.
