I don’t. Personally I find the whole practice of posting comments on news stories a waste of time because no one is going to read it, and if they read it they won’t be gores it, and if they’re gores it they won’t respond to it, and if they respond to it I’ll have to sift through 50 messages trying to find the guy who said “In response to #37…”

Also, as knee jerk as some of the comments, threads, and posts in the CR are, they pale in comparison to the rubbish that’s found in the comments section of your average news story.

Sometimes I do, but it’s annoying because for some reason I have to log in separately to do so, and when I do it automatically logs me out of my regular CR account. And your reason too.

I do once in a while, but I see your point. Therefore I’ll cut and paste here my comment to the happy news about the “starving” Meah Shearim mom who got her kids back:

What’s with the separate login, anyhow? I distinctly remember not having to do that! Is my mind just playing tricks on me? (Is this post going to get deleted?)

i read that actually msseeker, i was really bored. you could start a thread about that which is what i usually do when i want to comment on a news item. i post a link to the story with my opinion. id rather not have this thread hijacked with that discussion, but id be more than happy to discuss it in a different thread

Soliek, not often, for your reasons.

Yitayningwut, I also have to log in separately (I just noticed recently, because I rarely post there) but if you are using your own computer, you ca have it “remember” you, which makes it easier.

OneOfMany, I wonder if it’s a recent “development”, or if it depends on whether you signed up through the CR or the news portion of the site.

I rarely comment, but I read comments all the time. I enjoy people”s stupidity.

And I too have this annoying problem with the log-in.

DaasYochid – It does remember me, but it still automatically logs me out, and then I have to click log in again on the CR. Too much work for my fingers.
