my cousin went to seminary in Israel, in her seminary – it was MANDATORY to have texting in everyone’s cell (b/c in case of danger, etc). she told me that some other seminaries they WEREN’T even allowed to have texting in their phones but the students went behind the school’s back and actually got texting back onto their phones. Some of their parents were aware of this.

Torahis1: an ervah is someone (girl/lady/married lady/widow/etc.) who’s assur to a guy(who ISN’T related to her) . Your mother and sister is not an ervah to you cuz they’re not assur and they’re related to you!

in reply to: Dating Dilemmas #621281

*correction- the name of the book is Chosson & Kallah during their engagement.

in reply to: Dating Dilemmas #621272

You still can’t compliment your date even though she’s your kallah because she’s still an ervah to you. I recommand to all of you to read this read book called “Rules During the Engagement” written by Rabbi Pesach Eliyahu Falk.

in reply to: Tznius: a woman’s issue #623823

Why are all of you being so upbeat about this. It’s not the ladies that are the problem, its us the guys who have a strong yetzer hara! How come the halachos of men are stricter than the ladies for ex. hilchos niddah. because the men thinks of inaproppiate thoughts more than a woman would which is the nature of this world.

If you really want to know, all of you should consult your OWN rav on this and he’ll advise you based on YOUR minhag!
