And to get back on track here…

Oh, and here’s a little spoof on “What I’m Looking For”:

Although I myself am a young-looking 97 year old man with 3 teeth, I am looking for a tall, slender, elegant woman who knows exactly when I want her to talk and when I feel like stuffing her mouth with a sock. A woman who loves to cook, clean and entertain many diverse guests, as well as travel, sew, hike, go camping, sing opera, and go bungy-jumping, because as you know, those traits usually go together. I would like to have children of my own even though I’m 97, and I’m not sure if I want to relocate from my thatch-hut in Pompeii at this time. Are you the one for me? E-mail me, and let’s go on that mystical, joyous, spirital road as one unit!

    Yes, you heard that earlier….

But really, I never thought I’d “graduate” from ridiculous to simply disconcerting!! We just gotta keep tryin’ our best and Hashem REALLY does do the rest!

Yes. But it’s personal:) Let me see, yes, I was recently ridiculously behind in a certain payment and due to 3 consecutive miracles, I am now only disconcertingly behind.

Know anyone with “invasive” or “non-invasive” PINE leaves (to put atop the bamboo)? It makes the Sukkah smell delicious.

What about MOVING closer to Jews?

You may have heard of the adage: Meshane Makom, Meshane Mazal.Change the place, change (improve) the fortune.

My last move was like breathing in new life. It works!!

Syag, in the Yom Kippur davening I kept seeing how we say Hashem is patient with sinners. I know it’s referring to each and every one of us, but you gotta admit some people sin waaaaaaaaay more than the average, and OPPRESS others, and I’m like “Do You have to be THAT patient?” But again, He’s patient with me too, so I guess I wouldn’t want it any other way…

oy1…you’re so right. Thinking of my children and true friends definitely helped me through my Yom Kippur nisayon(see Doctor thread for details).

Chest pain persisted til middle of last night, thank goodness not past then. (Gonna keep the appointment anyway)But wow, getting trashed by another human being(?) just hours before Yom Kippur was NOT easy. I had to struggle with all the negativity it flooded me with, YET DAVEN MY BEST FOR forgiveness(from Hashem) and plead for an easier year,at the same time.Being accused falsely of a dozen perverse things, without having done ANY of them, and having the good things you say twisted unrecognizably by someone who claims to represent her entire family, extended family, and the world at large….is a taste of gehinnom. May it be my kapara for the YEAR, and may Hashem shower me AND ALL OF YOU with rachmonus we can understand and feel (in our human littleness). See, knowing that such a person is just a messenger from Hashem is a level, but then you want to beg Hashem to please, hold back a little on such messengers…

I guess it’s like l’havdil when someone gets a sentence of “1000 years” in prison….just means definitely being in there for a looooong time. So when we wish “til 120” we mean you should be around iy”h for a loooong time! Just guessing here.

By then, hardly anything works properly anymore, not sure it’s a blessing to live more than 120.
