    sam responsible,

OK fat does not affect weight, but the liberals still want it strictly regulated and eventually banned.

Also we do not pasken by what some people claim is “common sense” if we did, it would be mutar for business to be open on Shabbos since “common sense” says that many businesses need the Saturday revenue to keep from going bankrupt, especially in this economy.

If it is not specifically assur, no one has the right to go around making it assur just because they think they should unless they can find rabbon to specifically pasken that way, and none that I have heard of have paskened that way in this case that we are talking about.

Even if one or two would, there would probably still be others who would hold differently, if asked.

No I did not get my info that people can be healthy and stil die from the government.

I actually got it from news reports (from many years ago when the news was still pretending to actually care about truth and real issues rather then just spewing liberal lies and propaganda) as well as from word of mouth “oh did you hear about the 24 year old man who was just married and died that Shabbos during Krias Ha-Torah of a heart attack?” (True story from what I heard).

As far as your kids going into a grocery, it is not up to government or the store owner to regulate everything for everyone else for the sake of your (or anyones) kids.

Like I said if that were the case then everything everyone does must be regulated.

Kids can’t ride in cars because to many die in accidents.

We cvan’t have trains because people die on the tracks.

Government these days thinks religion is evil and bad for kids and it makes them “homophobic” so kids must be taken out of religious homes and placed in foster care etc…

    Chance, you are so right.

Some people wanted to ban coffee till they found out it has some positive health benifits as well.

And I could argue that fatty foods do as well.

I used to visit nursing homes as part of the yeshivah program to

reach out to and show other yidden that they are not forgotten, and to encourage them to embrace yiddishkeit (at any age).

What I noticed was that the ones with Parkinsens and Alzheimers and other diseases of the brain were mostly the skinny ones.

Those who were “overweight” were largly free of such diseases compared to the % of those who were skinny and had such diseases.

The “fat” ones were mentally aware and could hold an intelligent conversation while the skinny ones were lucky if they even knew someone was in the room, let alone what they were saying.

And it is not just government control over what we may eat, it’s

unconstitutional government control in every area of our lives and health is just one more excuse to attack and vilify business.

They are also going after animal breeders quite viciously, for example calling them “abusers of animals” and we all know how they have devestated and mercislesly bashed, the energy industry and the auto manufacturers and they practically have people rioting on Wall Street calling for the blood of anyone in the financial industry.

In the movie; Escape from LA (Sequal to Escape from New York)

    in one scene, the asssitant to the President for life (remind you of someone in office now who wants that for himself? perhaps) rattles off about 10 or 15 things that the government has banned like smoking and red meat and I think restrictions on where someone could go and what they could believe in etc…At the end of the list Snake Pliskin sarcsatically responds;

    “Land of the Free”.

It’s said not to be healthy, but like I said, no one can guarantee any single individual won’t get hit by car and die tomorrow or that his genes won’t allow him to live his full life no matter what he eats.

I’m not saying we have such propchey today but we still have Hascgocha protis and G-d decides how long anyone will live, not a secular anti Torah government which uses “health” as excuses to turn this country into Stalinist Russia.

    OK pausing….

Health; The first law in this country is that the Constitution is to be followed and the laws now being passed more and more are against the Constitution.

I would want to see independent reviews of any product by those who have used it before deciding if I wanted to buy it or not.

Or I would want to see an undeniable demonstration of it not working (for example; if someone markets a carry home egg carton that guarantees the eggs won’t break if dropped I would want to see the container drop and break the eggs before I would go around trying to stop everyone from buying the containers).

It is not possible to have complete neutrality because everything one does regarding choices between good or evil is either good or evil.

If someone is G-d forbid, being robbed or drowning, for example,

someone watching can either try and save them or at least try and find someone who can save them wghcih would be doing good.

Sitting there and watching would not be neutral, it would be aiding evil by not doing anything (or even trying) to stop it.

If the person had absolutely no way to get hep and couldn’t do it themselves, that would make them putt’ter, “”””not”””” “neutral”.

Putt’ter just means someone is excused from doing what really they should have done, not that it was ‘OK’ to not help, which would have been neutral.

What if they were OOnis? That would just be a higher level of being excused, a “better” excuse, as it were.

Health you post foolishness like; “To chance and other naturalists,

Sorry to burst your bubble on red rice yeast, but it seems that the naturalists are the ones trying to make money on products that don’t work, not big Pharma.”

And then claim I im the one with “silly conspiracy theories” .

Do you do a stand up comedy routine too, or do you actually expect people to take your hypocrisy, seriously?

Further tell me how it only a “theory” when government is restricting everything we can do and eat, and it’s not a theory, look at the ‘laws’ they ‘are passing’.

No salt no transfats no smoking not more then 4 cats allowed on home, all kinds of restrictions and who a company must hire and who they can or can’t fire and under what conditions.

Now a court just rulled a Jewish organization was in violation

for not giving a prisoner Jewish materials because they did not think he was Jewish.

So are you going to say all this is ‘not’ happening while you continue to spout silly consoriacy theories against the private sector?

Jewish Girl, when you see a “black and white” picture in a newspaper you usually also see some grey in there.

But in fact it is not grey.

What it is, is actually the white (or off white) background of the paper with black dots spaced such that the more black dots the darker the overall “grey” color seems to be.

Fewer and more spread out black dots creates a lighter grey color.

So what looks “grey” is actually black and white mixed together, but

wherever a black dot in not placed in that area, is white and thus that microscpic section of white is not grey or black, it is still white.

It is the same thing in life.

We may not clearly see that good and evil are mixed together, but if you could look closely enough and see it from H-sh-m’s perspective you would very clearly see

there is no such thing as grey in looking at good and evil.

They are mixed together to ‘look’ grey, but the tiny particles of evil are still evil no two ways about it.

The same is true for the tiny particles of good.

But to “call” it grey is to say “we must throw up our hands and not try and do good or stop evil because it is all grey and we cannot separate out good from evil”.

But if we would follow Torah and truly try and understand what G-d wants from us

instead of having our own personal agendas which in some cases may not be

so in line with Torah, we could do enough to separate out the evil from the good

and address problems that some might otherwise find too overwhelming to deal with.

So if red yeast rice is good then there is no logical reason for it to be banned.

Unless banning it is just an excuse for the Government-Medical complex, to

make big bucks off of cholesterol lowering drugs that have all kinds of side effects that they can make still more money for having to treat, those side effects.

The more you have to be ‘in the system’ the more easily they can get their oppressive anti freedom health scam bill passed and rammed down our throats.

What is the difference between the regular news section on the front page and the other section titled “In the news” that appears at the bottom of the coffee room?

They are two different sections with no clear (that I can tell) indication of why something is put in one section rather then in the other one, or why there are two separate sections at all?

And speaking of the Coffee Room I no longer see a direct link going back to the room after a post, or any link going directly back to the main page from the posting section.

It ‘may’ in some people be improved through diet and exercise, but it cannot be improved by government decree or laws, unless those laws are so restrictive they ruin peoples lives in other ways (such as by taking their freedoms and rights away).

Government has failed at everything it has claimed it was going to do to “improve peoples lives”.

Further, they do not ‘care’, to improve anyones lives except their own, through establishing an absolute dictatorship.

    Stalin is their hero.

It was either Rava or Rabbah (I keep forgetting which) who used to eat fat meat and wine which he said opened up his mind to learn Torah.

If he had lived during the time of the Rambam and if they lived near each other and talked to each other regularly, do you think the Rambam would have told him he was forbidden from eating the fat meat and wine?

Even if the Rambam had said that, do you think Rava or Rabbah (I keep forgetting which), would have stopped….Especially if it meant his Torah study would have suffered as a result?

King David (as I remember) was told through prophecy that he was to live exactly 70 years and die on Shabbos.

He asked H-sh-m “let me live longer so that I do not die on Shabbos” he was told no because his sons reign was to begin then and his reign could not overlap his sons reign.

I believe he then asked to die earlier so that still it not be in Shabbos and was told that he had to live his full life.

So his life’s length was set no matter what.

Now what would have happened if he had eaten nothing but transfats every day all day.

He still would have lived those 70 years and not a single moment less.

Now you might argue that he might have been sick and suffering.

But ‘might’ is the operative word, you do not ‘know’ for sure.

What if King David would answer that he liked the transfats and it was worth any suffering he would go through from it effects?

Did anyone have the right to tell him how he had to live his life?

I had heard that medical researchers had found that kids growing up without pets had a higher rate of asthma and similar breathing ailments.

What if the government ordered every family with children to have at least one cat and one dog in the house in the name of “health”?

Also a young person can G-d forbid get a heart attack and die even if he eats healthy.

It’s up to H-sh-m how long someone lives.

As I said if you take away my rights and my choices, you cannot guarantee that I will live one second longer.

But you will be guaranteeing that my life will be worse, and far less enjoyable.

Now where did the Rambam say that you have the right to make my life worse?

Sam responsible I do not have a Rambam to look up.

But if he had assured all food except bread and beans, as I said, we would have known about it long ago.

Either he did not assur it or we follow others who hold differently, those are the only two possibilities.

Besides people who live longer because they do not have heart attacks or cancer, often live long enough to get Alzheimers.

What if given the choices someone would not want to live long enough to get Alzheimers?

Do you think you or anyone else has the right to force someone to live a worse life not eating things they enjoy, just so they can live long enough to get a disease they constantly live in fear of?

At my Bar Mitzvoh ‘party’, I took several styrofoam cups and poked a tiny hole in the bottom of each one and put them back in the stack of new cups.

Someone took the first one and of course it leaked, so they took the 2nd one placed it under the first one to catch the leak, and it too leaked, same for cups #3, #4, and #5…All stacked, one inside the other and all still leaking.

Finally they gave up, saying “These cups must all be defective”.

If they had taken just one more cup it would have worked because I only did it to a few cups.

Hasghacha Protis applies to practical jokes too 🙂

Smartcookie my point about junk food is that parents should exercise their influence on their own kids and not try and force society into what they ‘think’ is good.

Now the liberals want to ban McDonalds from giving a toy with each happy meal in the false name of stopping childhood obesity.

All that will do is put some people out of work, when McDonalds does not need them because they sell less food, to fewer customers.

The liberals forcing this on us could not care less, about stopping childhood obesity.

This is just a scam to attack business and further destroy the freedoms and economic propserity of this once free, country.

All this “health” stuff has perhaps a small kernel of truth with massive propaganda packed around it like several feet of styrofoam around a single glass bead and you are told the entire package is one huge ball of glass.

Once you have given up your freedoms and money to pay for it and open it, only whne it’s too late, do you find out you have been royally ripped off, and permamently lost out, big time.

It’s like the fake global warming scam, we are supposed to reduce our choices and freedom and lifestyle because of some big ‘scare’ that big brother government is going to ‘fix’ and ‘make all better for us’, who ‘are too helpless’ to run our own lives or make our own decisions.

Pretty soon the government will be comming into our homes and cutting our food for us because knives are too dangerous for ‘regular people’ to handle and it will be illegal to even have a butter knife because it’s too dangerous.

But of course it won’t be needed because the butter will be illegal by then, anyway.

Just wait till all regular food is illegal and we are ordered to live on Soylent Green crackers.

Ronrsr, you are right that modern medical science is far in advance of what was available even a few years ago let alone when I was a child.

When I was 10 no one even imagined anything like MRI machines for example except science fiction writers.

However I had heard for example, that medical researchers had concluded that

allergies and asthma were far more common in kids growing up in the city without pets then kids who grew up in the country with pets and among various other animals.

So some of it it seems might be comming from changing lifestyles and not just better diagnosis.

Also if previously, it had been mearly misunderstanding of an ailment, and what the real cause was (Peanut butter for example).

That would not explain why it must be totally banned when we are told the reason for the ban is not that someone just might not feel so well but that they could supposedly suddenly fall into a coma and instant death, G-d forbid, just from the smell from someone elses sandwich on the other side of an open eating area.

I mean when I was kid, I never heard of any stories of that happening to anyone in any school cafeteria even where no one could figure out the reason for the death.

Now I have heard stories of kids dying in school because of attacks from other kids.

For example several years ago a kid in a public school in Personhattan killed another kid with a single punch.

I think bullying and hatred are far more dangerous then anything anyone eats and yet

there never has been and never will be, any laws totally banning from schools and other public areas, anyone who looks like he might violently attack another kid.

Sam Responsible, I did stick to the point.

You apparantly want sugar banned and I provided some

alternate ideas to the claim that sugar is as evil as you seem to want to make it out to be.

As for your quotes and things to look up I do not know much Hebrew other then some very common terms, such as those I use below, so I do not know what you said or have an English Rambam to look up.

But if the Rambam said that sugar was assur I think we would have heard about it long ago.

If you are intrepreting from the Rambam to make up your own halachos, I must ask if you are a paskening rav and who holds by your psakim.

If you do not want sugar in your house, don’t have it, but who gave you the right to try and get it banned for everyone else?

    Nice story.

Still; To say that H-sh-m would “have to” destroy the world, to explain it, is to limit H-sh-m.

Our Neshamas are part of H-sh-m, so the seeming contradiction to me, would be why

H-sh-m would separate the Neshamas from himself, just to earn the right to be reunited as a reward.

It does not bother me that we must become givers, but to set up the Universe such that suffering ‘must’ be part of it seems to me, to be the opposite of giving and kindness.

in reply to: Hashem Is By Our Side #713245

We are required to believe that H-sh-m is not limited in any way, shape or form, and there is absolutely no limit to what he can do.

Since this must be true, my question is; Why did he create the Universe, in such a way that for us to be our best, there must be a transition we must go through, in order to ‘be’ our best?

More importantly; Why must this transition include any suffering at all, let alone the absolute horrific suffering people have gone through, during all parts of history?

I know the standard answer I have gotten, is that reward must come from earning it through effort which by definition must include suffering/struggling, or the reward is not appreciated.

    But that begs the question.

G-d created the Universe in such a way, that this is how reward must be earned and appreciated.

He could have just as easily, created the Universe in such a way, that we could have earned and recieved reward and appreciated it every bit as much, without any suffering.

Or he could have simply given everyone their final reward and created them, such that they would appreciate it, without having to have earned it.

G-d created time and space, and all the laws of physics and rules regarding human emotions.

It was all up to him, so he could have created a universe where ‘earning’ reward was the ‘lazy unappreciative’ way to get it, and where sitting around doing nothing was the virtuous way of the Tzaddikim.

Or G-d could have looked all through history and simply told everyone “If you had actually gone through life, you would have suffered from such and such and at the end, earned a certain amount of reward. I (H-sh-m)have spared you going through all that and here is the reward, without you actually having to go through, any suffering”.

And he could have created the people, such that they would gladly accept, and love his judgement, joyfully.

Someone might argue that this would take away, free choice.

    I have two points to make about that;

#1 H-sh-m could have done it the way I suggest, and still have given us free choice.

We might not understand how that could possibly work. But our not understanding, does not limit G-d, or stop him from having the ability to have done it that way, if he had chosen to do so.

#2 We do not really have much free choice anyway, we do not choose to whom, or where or how healthy or rich or other circumstances we are born and all those circumstances have a huge impact on how the rest of our lives will go.

All through life how rich we are and how healthy, tall strong or weak, etc… Are also not under our control so all this stuff about free choice as most of us usually think of it, is only a fantasy anyway.

Our only free choice is to do good or evil and even that might have some question about it (a person born poverty stricken for example and literally starving to death for lack of any way to earn money in a poor depressed country who then steals just to survive. Stealing is wrong but either he steals or starves to death).

So again G-d could have simply told us what our choices would have been and saved us the suffering from actually having to go through all the horrors that so many have gone through.

After all, at the end that is what happens anyway when we go to the Heavenly Bais Din, and are judged and either clensed of our averias and then allowed once clensed, to enter Gan Eden and get our reward or if we are judged to be Tzaddikim and get to go in right away without any clensing, first.

We want to be close to H-sh-m and bask in the Schechina, that and not ‘free choice’ is the goal anyway, so G-d it seems, could have just ‘cut to the chase’ as they say, and just given us our reward.

So since G-d can do anything and no one “forced” him to create a universe where the concept of evil and of suffering even exists, and since G-d could have made us just as happy and joyful as we will be in the end anyway.

Why did he ‘choose’ to have us suffer when it seems to me to be so obvious that it is not necessary?

Of course, people might answer we simply do not understand H-sh-ms ways they are too high for us to understand.

My response is that it does not matter how little we understand.

We can understand that G-d is not limited and that he could have done things differently, we do not have to have infinite intelligence to understand that basic concept.

When I looked at this thread title, I had thought it was about actually being ripped off as in what happened to me which was that the one time I ever worked in a summer camp, they never paid me what they had promised.

I had also known nothing about camps never having been in one before that and did not know that those working there had to fight each other for rooms stay in or at least

be the first there to get one.

Silly me I had thought that they would have made sure there was a place for everyone they hired.

I also had not known that people who worked there were so obnoxious, like the one who was in charge of tools and did not want to allow me to use any to put a door on the

room I finally found for myself, even though he had more then one, and no one was using any of them.

Or like the other one who worked in the canteen and went out of his way to insult

    everyone he served.

Or the other one who ran the kitchen who loved to yell at and bully everyone else.

This guy couldn’t run his own crew properly and he blamed everyone else for his failings (Note; I did not work in the kitchen, thank G-d, I just observed how this guy acted, both in the kitchen and in general).

Well…….That is why my first time in any summer camp, was my last.

How do we ‘really’ know that all these studies of the supposed relationship between sugar and hyperactivity or other issues with kids are so true?

Oh I know people will say “I saw a kid get sugar and then was acting up and the next day when he did not get it he wasn’t”.

But can we see everything the same way G-d sees it with all the paramaters and factors involved?

Do we see that the the day the kid was “acting up” he started off the day worried abot something (like perhaps some other kid who had been bullying him who said he was going to “get him” in two days which was now “today”) ?

Do we really know every detail of every day and what causes every single emotion at every instant that we can say for certain it had to be the sugar and we would

be willing to testify in the Heavenly court (when we get there) that we knew for sure with the same confidence that H-sh-m himself has that it had to the the sugar and could not possibly be anything else?

We cannot judge another till we have been in their place, so how can we say it must be the sugar when we haven’t been through everything with every worry, the kid goes through when we simply do not know every detail of everything they go through?

The medical association these days is no more reliable then the scientists

who have been caught making of fabrications about so called “global warming”.

    I thought I remembered learning somewhere that in some cases (not all cases);

Forgetting Torah might be a consequence of not studying and learning when someone should have been studying and chose not to.

Something like; “If you choose to not learn for on day it will be forgotton two days” meaning that a person would have to work two days, to relearn what he forgot over one day, if he was deliberately negligent in not learning.

Work and other obligations are of course not negligence.

But if someone knew that a certain time, was the time he should have been studying, and deliberately decided it wasn’t important to “bother with”, that would be negligence.

Of course there are many reasons why someone might forget, and each person knows themselves and whether they are learning as much as they should.

And not ‘all’ Goyem, hate Jews, if they did there would be no such a thing as a “righteous Goy” like those who saved Jews during WW2 at the risk of their own lives.

Nor would any want to convert and obviously a decent number do want to convert, despite the halachas of pushing away of potyential converts.

Plenty of non Jews have channels on youtube that are specifically pro Jewish and anti nazi.

Sure there are far more antisemites, but not ‘all’ Gentiles, are antisemites.

Oh Frummynotfrum who falsly claimed that he was “not going to respond to me” after he totally unprovoked, ‘started’ attacking me in the first place with off topic personal insults, then called me a bunch of names (which liberals love to pretend are “facts”) and ignored the points I made, while hypocritically whining that I supposedly did not respond to his side points, that had nothing to do with the main point of how evil liberalsim is, (he cannot show any halachas supporting liberalism as it is actually apllied in the world which is my whole point here) which he has never addressed because he knows how absolutely wrong he is but his historical revisionism will not allow him to admit the truth.

    This is what liberals do;

They look for some side point to attack and then pretend they “won the argument”.

It is a typical liberal sneaky way of trying to do an end run around the truth, just like they did with their health scam, plan.

FACT; The KKK all hated Bush and hate conservatives and those supporting them and supporting White supremacists have said so all over the internet.

Fact, ‘every’ single blog where anyone is actually accused of “abuse of animals” just for eating meat or hunting or wearing fur (which is obviously something only libeerals would support and Torah does not) is full of posts demanding that those falsly accused he slowly tortured and them and their whole families arwe demanded by these liberals to “have their brains bashed against a wall till they splatter all over it” and every single liberal who posts ANYWHERE on the on these blogs and youtube videos including White Supremacists and KKK supporters all support such horrific mass murder inthe false name of “compassion” .

    And another FACT;

They often say things like ” Jews are behind this and we need to “get the Jews” (I am actually cleaning it uo and making it extremly mild because the actuall

words and thoughts they express would be too vulger and horrific for this website).

FACT; Self described liberals like wwllylrp on AOL who posted on the AOL message board

titled “the War in Iraq”, said that his grandfather was a nazi Panzer officer, and he had fun doing horrible things to Jews and every singel post of his that wasn;t attacking Jews was attacking Bush and conservatives and saying they should all be “hanged from the nearest trees”.

FACT; EVERY singhe liberal on that board (and elsewhere on AOL who knew this guy) fully supported EVERYTHING he said without exception.

FACT; No one can find a single conservative Bush supporter who also supported the US fighting the terrorists in Iraq who ever posted anything antisemitic.

FACT; Only freedom and democracy hating liberals, like Nazis and KKK and White supremacists and jihadists and athiests, ‘ever’ post anything antisemitic.

FACT: no one can ‘prove’ otherwise.

FACT; Personal insults, and name calling, have absolutely nothing to do with actual proof.

Neither does lying about what I said, or whining about typos.

If double parking is so bad why do school busses do it every day and collectively block streets in Boro Park for hours at a time?

Some busses stop 3 times on one street and I have been stuck behind some and have been help up for over 1/2 hour just to go one block, which made me late for work.

And it does not help when the mother of a child has to further hold things up by having extensive conversations with the driver while he is the middle of the street, blocking traffic.

Wait a minute……… Is Tendler just a doctor?

I had thought he was a rav or other gadol.

If he is not then, I would not be doing any averias if he were wrong, and I said so.

I know of one person who used to work where I do and he used his free time to learn computer programming and then he became much more valuable to my boss fixing software problems in the system and finally he started freelancing and now makes far more on the outside as an independent consultant.

Actually now that I think about it, I know of two people from my place who did that and a third one who came already with such knowledge but increase his value through expoerience and learning and went out on his own and now makes at least 3 times what he made, at his old job in the place where I still work.

There are many ways of learning to adcvance your career even if you want to change careers thare are many ways to learn online so your time is not wasted just sitting around or playing games.

Then of course there are websites to study Torah on, as well.

It reminds me of something I heard when I was in yeshivah about a gadol who was asked how he became so great and he responded “in 3 minutes”, which he explained was the 3 minutes waiting in line or waiting while a simcha started or anytime he had a ‘free’ minute he got in just a bit more learning and he had done this in yeshivah inbetween shiruim while others were relaxing and taking it easy.

Charliehall Ben Levi has given some excellent responses to your points and I would ad that I do not know exactly what Rav Tendler said or under what circumstances or about what exact situation.

I also do not think that not knowing of any response by other Rabbonim constitutes endorsement by them of everything they do not comment on.

I seriously doubt that Rav Tendler or any other Gedolim would ever support a seculra non Torah government sticking their hands into my pockets and forcing me at gunpoint to give up money that I can ill afford for some “universal” health care’ that will not even cover everyone and which would impoverish me to the point of being forced out onto the street because the government has through legalized theft, stolen my rent money.

150 years ago, no one was refused medical care because doctors would do it for free rather then see a someone suffer and die for lack of care.

It is the excessive overregulations and invasive intrusion into our pockets and private lives that has caused this ‘crises’ in the first place.

What do you think Rav Tendler says about England where women cannot get breast cancer screening because “it’s not in the budget”?

What do you think he would say about Obama telling elderly people who need ‘expensive’ critical care, to “just take the pain pill”?

And Ben Levi you are 100% right in that we must daven and increase in Torah and Mitzvohs because everything is from H-sh-m and there must be something he expects us to learn from this.

Ben Levi; How liberal was the Rockefeller wing, compared to today?

That is compared to McCain and his unconstitutional McCain

FineGold anti free speech legislation, for example?

The problem is that since Reagan, too many Republicans have fallen for the scam put up by the Democrats demanding that they have a “big tent” and include anyone who wants t join no matter how liberal they are.

It could be compared le Havdeal Eleph Havdallahs, to alowing anyone to “convert” to Judaism without any real sincerity or going through all the “pushing away” and studying and interviews, they are supposed to endure, to test their sincerity.

If it had gone on for several generations, there would today be almost nothing left or genuine Torah true Judiasm and extremly hard if not impossible to restore the True Torah following, without the core and well tested and established sincere yidden separating themselves from the huge tangled mess and starting all over again.

I will admit that the Republicans have finally taken one step in the right direction by all solidly voting against this health scam bill.

I just have a big question as to how sincere they are in making it a permanent turn around and question how long will it last?

But I think specifically because we have this crises we can’t afford to blow it.

I am afraid if the Republicans from this point on and weaken even slightly this country will cease to exist within 3 years.

You are right about the school system they teach things that even for a Gentile are wrong such as the idea that G-d supposedly cannot exist and they teach it as if it were a scientific and proven fact.

Another point about liberalism is that liberal is, as liberal does.

So for example, if someone claims that the “dictionary defines” liberaliism a certain way, does that change the fact that no conservatives are antisemites and only liberals ever are?

    Nope.

Does it make liberal Pat Buchanon, who some people falsly claim is a conservative (even though he is anti business and a big union supporter, just like his fuhrer was) some how not a liberal just because the dictionary may say otherwise?

    Absolutely not.

Does it make all the antisemites who all over the internet constantly attack everything conservative, and who want Bush “hanged” for fighting the terrorists in Iraq and want Israel to, in their words..”Be nuked” does it make ‘them’ somehow conservative just because the dictionary is supposed to ‘make’ them conservative?

    Obviously not.

Can anyone show ‘any’ conservatives who supported Bush and supported America fighting the terrorists in Iraq, who are antisemitic?

No, no one can find a single one.

Also there is nothing about real liberalism as it is actually applied in the real

world (as opposed to the “idealistic and high minded” fantasies, liberals like to falsly use, to portray liberalism as supposedly being all about) that is supported or is even remotly endorsed by Torah or Halacha.

No truly ‘Frum’ person, could possibly be a liberal or support liberalism as it is actually applied in the ‘real’ world, that we have to actually live in.

If conservatives pass liberal laws they are liberals as are the liberal laws they have passed.

The mess caused in this country by liberalism (well actually liberalism causes problems everywhere, no liberalism would mean no problems, at least none caused by people deliberately harming otehrs, but for now I am focusing on Americans problems) has been going on, for well over 150 years.

This is why I strongly disagree with Sean Hannity and his claim that we need to stick with the Republican party, no matter what.

They are way too liberal and the liberals have so solidly entrenched themselves in the Republican party that I do not believe the conservatives can ever totally take it back

and as long as there is even a small sliver of liberal support from withing the Republican party it will always eventually wind up the way it was when McCain was running his extremly liberal and very poor campaign.

And when Hannity keeps quoting the great Ronald Reagan, who said that we should work from within the Republican party to make it conservative, it was not nearly as bad as it is today.

It’s like the difference between a minor cut that can be disinfected and bandaged and

a limb G-d forbid, full of Gangrene.

In the first case it can easily be saved and in the second, unfortunately there is no hope in the second case.

Reagan is not around today so we can’t ask him, but I see no rerason to think he would disagree.

All liberal laws ‘ever’ passed would have to be repealed in order for this country to be set right again and the chances of that happening are slim and none

(especially if left to the Repubicans to do, the least libeal Republican has never to my knowledge ever even brought up this concept, let alone supported it, no liberal law (except perhaps slavery, has ever been repealed not by

    Republicans or by anyone else)

    , and Slim left town.

    To FrummyMcFrum who is so bankrupt of any logic or reasoning that in typical liberal fashion all it can do is spout typical liberal mindless insults and name calling (which I had thought was not allowed on this site);

Some states were more loyal to the idea of a preserved union then to slavery but you cannot address my point that if there had never been slavery, there never would have been a civil war, because no state would have had any reason to think they should succeed in the first place.

And I notice that in your “definitions” you did not quote where they came from (perhaps because they are fake definitions?).

And if liberlism is so wonderful and so enlightened, how come every single antisemite who posts anywhere on the internet has ALWAYS been a Bush hating America in Iraq hating liberal and NEVER a Bush supporting America in Iraq supporting conservative?

How come Bush had two Blacks in his cabinet and Bill Clintinn never had any despite his label as “Americas first Black president”?

And how come Obama sat for 20 years listening to Rev Wright for 20 years scream about how ‘evil” America and Whites and Jews all supposedly are?

One vicious Bush hating liberal used to brag how his grandfather was a proud nazi serving his Fuhrer in WW2 and how he wanted all conservatives and all Jews dead, and how “right” he thought his fuhrer was.

And youtube is full of liberals attacking conservatibves and Jews and using the “n” word to refeer to Blacks who they also want to re-enslave.

Tell us all about Obama who told Americans enemies that America “has been arrogant” and his friends like Pentagon terrorist

Bill Ayers who said he “did not do enough damage in his treasonous attacks on this country”.

And further; Tell us all about liberal “social justice” when we are all going to be burdened with a corrupt health scam system while those who impose it on us will be exempt for having to participate in their “wonderful system”.

If slavery had never been the law in the South, the South never would have come to the point of wanting to Succeed from the Union which was the direct cause of the war.

Thus slavery was obviously one of the preceeding causes.

Also note I did not even say in my first post about this what was or was not the ’cause’ anyway.

I just said that it took a Civil war to end it.

But some are obviously more interested in finding excuses to attack others then in

actually understanding the points being made or in having a civil discussion.

FrummyMcFrum you are the one bashing and making dumb comments.

You can’t even SAY what I supposedly “bashed” without any reasons.

And I’ll bet you are someone else changing names just to attack me so as to hide your other identity on here.

All oppressive laws are by definition liberal.

Just like Obama wants to enslave us all under his health scam so to slavery in the South was a liberal idea.

Conservatives believe in freedom and liberals are always looking for ways to control people and force them to do the liberals bidding.

Congratulations on exposing yourself for everything you hypocritically accused me of.

And there are plenty of scholars who will tell you it was about slavery, but obviously you only study those who you can use to bash others, with.

How can taxes be raised on so many things and all the people will be forced to pay for this health scam and then the claim is that it will lower the debt?

Perhaps if everyone gets all their money taxed away, to pay for it.

But wait, peoples taxes are supposedly lower.

Can anyone here say their taxes are lower because, of anything Obama did?

And all through 8 years of Bush he was constantly threatened with death by the same ones who also threatened conservatives and Jews.

I remember learning in yeshivah that if for example someone has guests the host is not allowed to have one level of kashrus for themselves and a lower one for guests.

For one thing that is rude as if to say “We are better then you so we get the higher kashrus”.

I do not remember learning about giving to someone else when neither party is eating it at that moment as in Shaloch Mannos but personally I would feel not very kind if I

went out and bought non Cholov Yisroael for someone else when I am strictly Cholov Yisroael for myself.

As far as it being “perfectly kosher” Well that is too big a machloikis to get into and I am not scholarly enough to discuss it, but even with the teshuvah that people use to quote Rav Feinstien, I have STILL heard from others who say it is still a machloikis.

There is nothing rational about this health scam, system.

Under this scam, people will find it much harder to start a business since when they need employees and cannot afford the massive health insurance they must provide will

have to forget about hiring and if they can’t run the business by themselves, they will just go under (or never start the business in the first place).

The more the government gets involved the higher the insurance will go.

And this will eventually end private insurance companies which is what these anti business communists have wanted all along.

When you tell business “You MUST pay for tens of thousands of dollars per year (or more) in insurance coverage, but you are only allowed to charge a few thousand per year, and anyone with pre-esisting condictions must get full and immediate coverage”

The companies will go out of business under massive debt.

The government has the monopoly and when they demand that someone like me pay thousands of dollars per year it will put me out on the street because I barely make enough to live and government mandated coverage will mean I can’t pay my rent.

This whole scam is nothing more then anti business anti American, Stalinism.

It is actually the Democrats who are going to tell people to die.

As Obama said about someone grandmother and how her “will to live” could not be factor in determining if they had “the resources” to cover her life saving surgery, and he said “she should just take the pain pill”.

Just like the Democrats had the supposed “war on poverty” and 40 years later there are more poor then ever before this is just another civilization destroying, scam.

I’m sure many Democrats are on the way out with no chance of winning again.

However? the damage they have done is irreversable.

Even if every single Democrat were out this instant and replaced by Republicans, they still would not REVERSE this vote.

Not one single liberal law has EVER been reversed (except slavery and THAT took a civil war to accomplish) .

This country has taken a header over a cliff and absolutely nothing at this point can stop the inevetable total destruction and disintigration when it hits bottom.

There is absolutely no hope whatsoever, anymore.
