tiawd, we pronounce govoah and not govoha so it should be eloah but in order not to pronounce it we say elokah.

The Mesilas Yesharim says that when we love someone like a father, we want to do extra for him to please him even if we don’t get a reward for it. We love Hashem, who is a father to us, so we want to do extra to please him and specially in the ten days of teshuva drinking chalav yisroel, as we want to be judged not by hair splitting, exactly what we deserve.

Do you know that abusive parents have abusive children? The Rav Abarbanel on kibud Av says that the children will be respected as parents as they respected their parents. Your children see how you respect your parents and that will be how they respect you. I heard from my father a mashel.
There was a grandfather, father and son. The father fed the grandfather in a wooden plate. thinking that because of his feebless he will break regular china. When the grandfather passed on, the father wanted to get rid of it. The son said to the father, don’t throw it out father because we needed it for you.

If you focus on them, it should not be bottled up but comunicated to someone you trust, otherwise it will make you miserable. My father lost a wife and two children in Aushwitz which reflected my upbringing by losing his temper very easily. My mother, who was in Aushwitz doing hard labor, had a problem showing physical love to me even though she loved me very much.

ubi, you might be alluding to the holy Or Hachaim who interprets the pasuk לא תשא את שם ה’ אלקיך לשוא, do not use the name of Hashem your G-d to elevate yourself uttering it in vain, to make yourself look more religious than you really are.

The Ksav Sofer compares us to climbing a ladder as Yaakov Avinu’s dream having the potential to shteig, elevate from the ground to the heavens being below or above the malachim. I think the above from Yserbus123 means that the importance is the effort one dispenses to elevate oneself. Do this elevation stepwise otherwise you falter as the Chasam Sofer above.

If they think they could have done better when they became parents, walk in their shoes and recognize one’s parents backgrounds, אל תדין את חבירך עד שתגיע במקומו don’t judge your friend until you have expirenced his experiences, which applies also to parents.

Avi K, I have a proof to you from the Midrash of ולא יכלו אחיו לענות אותו and the brothers of Yosef could not answer him, what are we going to do when we will be judged לפי מה שהוא according to what he is, what his background is. The Rambam in Hilchas Yesodei Hatora (5,11) says that chilul Hashem is according to expectations. These people are expected a higher level of behavior all over, also bein adam lechavero.

Health, it does not proof anything about Bolton if Trump does not even listen to Mattis. He simply thinks he knows everything and does not have to listen to advisors. North Korea might end up with nuclear weapons after making friends with them. Breaking the treaty with Iran showed that no one is watching, so they can do whatever they want by being on the verge of acquiring the materials. The movement of the embassy I don’t see a direct benefit of except the increase of the arab hatred.

coffee addict, you can’t follow both views, so one will be rejected. Sometimes you listen to one and sometimes to another. You must show willingness to listen and respect their views. When you always follow your own instincts, people around you realize that their good advice is not required and is ignored.

Tochacha must be done in tactful manner, so if you don’t know how, you will do more harm than good, yotzo sechora behefseda. The holy Shlah explains the passage אל תוכיח לץ פן ישנאך when admonishing someone, don’t call him a letz, a fool to hate you, הוכיח חכם ויאהבך call him a chacham, a wise one to love you.

As Hashem is the source of all energy, everything was created from energy as in string theory mentioned above. It has no mamashas, so it is considered ayin in yesh meayin. Einstein says that matter can be converted to energy in e=mc^2, so energy can be converted to matter. Living things have a nefesh habehamis. A medaber from domem, tzomeach, chai and medaber has a neshama. A yid has a higher neshama than a goy.

I am refering to another Klei Yakar in Parashas Devarim on penu lochem tzafano, how to be careful in galus not to show off with fancy houses which makes the goyim jealous and creates our own antisemitism.

This Klei Yakar is related to the other Klei Yakar at the end of Vayigash as he alludes to it there. What caused the servitude in Mitzraim is the absorbtion in the land and enjoyment of it, where they should have been strangers in a strange land, ki ger yihye zaracha, on which the mitzriim became jealous of, so they had the Jews work to weaken them.

A thing cannot make itself as it had to exist before being made and the one who makes something exists before it and therefore, rules over it and whatever has a beginning has a end and a composite is put together, so it has an end.

Hashem is not a composite otherwise not being One and not made up from any element because then that element existed before him and He existed always wheras the element is a creation. Also it consists of atoms and its particles being a composite.

The Rambam in the beginning of Hilchas Yesodei Hatorah (1,2-3) says, if we think that
He (G-d) is not found, nothing else will be found. If we think nothing else can be found, still only He will be found, and He will not be eliminated from any of their elimination as all creations require Him for their existence and He does not need one of them for His existence therefore, His truthfulness is not like any of their truthfulness.

Ki Savo, the holy Alshich interprets the statement above as Lavan fooled Yaakov Avinu by destroying his intentions. He gave him Leah instand of Rachel and thereby caused the jealousy of the shefotim. This would not have happened if he had given Rachel first. Yosef would have been the bechor, the firstborn and thereby the Bnei Yisrael would not have ended up in Mitzraim.

Avira, the holocaust is similar to mitzraim, so look at the Klei Yakar at the end of Parashas Vayigash and Parashas Devorim on Penu lochem tzofano. The Mitzriim didn’t directly kill jews because of the hakoras hatov to Yosef. The germans also made them work if they were able to.

It means a taam of olam habo. A chasid put on his shabbos clothes on a weekday and was surprised that he felt the taam of shabbos.
It says by Yitzchak vayorech es reach begodov, he felt the taam of gan eden as it belonged to Adam Harishon. So it is no surprise to feel the taam of shabbos on a weekday that his clothing absorbed as shabbos is meein olam habo.

As the neshamas become greater their potential to elevate in kedusha inreases. A Jew gains a higher level of neshama when he has fought the yetzer hara, overcome and exhausted its potential.

Neshama comes from under kisei hakovad with G-dly features and arrives to earth to gain its keep and not get a bread of shame which it did not work for. Part of it is left above and through our prayer we are connecting ourselves to the root. See the Sefer Habris, 2nd Part.
