In Hungary in 1869, The Hungarian Jewish Congress, in a convention where the Neolog (Reform) questioned the Shulchan Aruch invocation, so the Orthodox Rabbonim, after pledging allegiance to the SA, quoted Hibodlu and walked out which created the shism or split.

A brocho of gomel is made going on a ship or through desert or getting out of jail which is within his control and no differnce is made what was the purpose, so getting cured should also make no difference even if one endangers himself. Chayim is the siman which is chovush, yam, yisurim and midbar.

Health, how many times must we tell you I don’t have to prove no fraud? In any case it did not affect the result of the electiions as Biden won with an enormous margin. Even with Georgia and Arizona or Wisconsin deducted he still won. Michigan and Pennsylvania difference is too big.

The Avos were also separate but equal. The Ksav Sofer explains that we find tbem listed in reverse, remembering the covenant of Yaakov, the covenant of Yitzchok and covenant of Avraham in order to teach us that Yaakov and Yitzchak were great on their own and not because of their fathers. Rashi says וארא – אל האבות, I revealed myself to the ancestors. Maybe the Baal Haturim says in Parashas Voeschanan that veohavta in krias shema are the same letters as haavos, ואהבת – האבות. Love Hashem with all your heart like Avraham, whom You found trustworthy in his heart, with all your soul, like Yitchak, who sacrificed himself with his soul, and with all your wealth, like Yaakov who promised to tite all his wealth. Teaching us tbe great love that our ancestors had to Hashem and they not questiion His promises.

Separate but not equal. The Maasei Hashem on the Hagadah (dovor achar) explains that Rebbi Yehudah gives us the simonim, detzach, adash, beachav to indicate that the makkos started away from Pharaoh then affecting his money and body to give him an opportunity to do teshuva.

On separate but equal, the Chasan Sofer on the Hagadah where ilu ‘hen’ is unnecessary explains that os ‘heh’ and ‘nun’ have no partner. Aleph goes with teis to add up to ten and yud and tzadik adds up to a hundred.
The makus where not related to each other such that one brings the other. Blood make the frogs escape.
hen am levadad yishkon, the Bnei Yisroel are unique, dwell by their own, lonely, they are not counted among goyim.

The Ksav Sofer interprets the pasuk ‘וה’ הולך לפניהם יומם בעמוד ענן וכו When Hashem brings one, day (wealth), he should think of the dark cloud (it can turn bad) but at night (poverty) he should think at tbe amud aish (stand of fire) it will turn good, so he will be able to withstand good and bad.

A vaccine creates an environment of fooling the body to feel that the illness has struck and waking up the antibodies to fight the virus so that tbe illness creates tbe cure. This is the meaning of umaflie laasos, creating wonders.

By the individual we might have the consideration of asmachte lo kanye because he is sure he will win but not an organization or government where multiple people are involved it does not apply otherwise how can you have a yeshiva raffle but the Rambam holds anyway that only as a profession is assur. Also, they recognize that someone must win, so it does not apply.

The Shelah Hakadash on the Torah in Parashas Shemos discusses it based on the pasuk shuvu banim shavovim consisting of parashiyos from beginning letters of Shemos to Mishpatim. In a leap year we add two extra parashiyos T’T or Tat,Trumah and Tetzaveh. T’T comprises all that teshuva should be performed for. Teshuvah Tefila, Talmud Torah and Tat meaning to give, Tzedakah.

The idea is think before you write a message and then there will be no need to erase. The Orchas Chaim of the Rosh says, to watch הוצאת דברך what comes out from your mouth (including writing) מהוצאת ממונך as you watch what money you spend.

As by Chanukah tbe Beis Halevi says that whoever lights the main candles should light the mehadrin because if there is no ikkar, no tofel. Similarly whoever pays for main category, should pay the extras in that category provided they wanted. The choson pays for flop, flowers, orchestra and photography whereas the kallah pays for the catering. So, since this is part of catering, the kallah should pay for.
