Please don’t mock me sharing with you something interesting that I found that just happens to quote holy sources

    1) Pick a nice person who you like and trust. (Preferably not anyone close and impartial to the sem you are in.) Could be a Rav/Rebitzen

    2) Call or meet them, explain entire situation including your fears.

    3) Make sure you are solidly comfortable with their guidance and that it makes 100% sense to you. Ask them openly of any questions you have with their. If not, find someone else.

    4) Bottom line, listen to your own heart. True Guidance is only

to remove the clouds in your heart.

    davidsamual14-

    Dunno. never read the book.

I think that the reason that OBEs and NDEs are happening so frequently now is because we are nearing a time when the knowledge of G-d will fill the earth and this is one of Hashem’s ways of doing this.

    eh. silly conjecture.

Even the Lubavitcher Rebbe was there and he talked about it freely.

    Where did you read this?

my brother- How big was it?

I’ve seen drones in flight before, alot of them and green/red lights on them.

avram in MD- What you described very well may be explainable by a terrestrial craft rather than an extraterrestrial spacecraft. Usage of unmanned drones has increased in recent years, and at nighttime, many of these drones would appear as formations of discs of light. The drone itself or equipment on the drone may also explain the strange noises you heard.

This was not ordinary. i told you I heard noises, first

“hubble wubble goosh!!”, then voices like “ibble bibble squibble”

smile4life- regardless of the cynical comments people are making, this happens to be a real thing. People have all sorts of out of body experiences (OBE’s) and they are usually real

So how do you explain the myriads of stories including the bestseller, “Heaven is for real,” of people saying they met jesus, and ‘god the father’ etc

thechoiceismine- What does interest in these things have to do with a lack of emuna?

They say if your emuna is solid, you don’t need reaffirmation of the soul. dunno if you cannot be interested in these things.

When they got very close, I heard voices, like from another language in a very squeaky voice. It sounded like ibble bibble sqibble- it looks funny in writing, but that’s what I heard. But I didn’t actually see them.

Okay, I’m just going to try to ignore everyone trying to make joke out of this.

    To the Goq:

So basically it happened a few weeks ago. I was walking back from the park at night when it was starting to get dark, then i started hearing weird sounds like hubble wubble goosh! At first, I ignored them, and then, they got louder, and I freaked out. Right before this, I saw cats running from the garbage can. Later, i read that animals can sense calamities before humans can.

Then there were about 7 green flashing lights in the sky in perfect formation. Then they got closer and I saw they were discs, traveling very smoothly. I would say they got about 200 ft from the ground, and just left. The whole thing lasted for like 30-50 seconds. I don’t know why they came or anything

Whoever I told this to thought I was crazy. But I didn’t see any aliens.

so i did my own research, and found that many other people have seen similar things. Including former president jimmy carter.

Thank you everyone who has been helping me finding info. After numerous phone calls, i received very positive information about Weissgardenfelds. And most of my questions were answered.

    1) I got hold of her resume and it has the perfect word count, so I decided to go ahead with the Shidduch.(3’8″ counts as two words)

    2) I received a copy of my local bais yaakov test on the Menorah, and figured I will supervise her taking it in the first date. (I will grade it then and there, and see where to go from there)

    3) Thank you to Rebitzen Shlisselchallah, for looking into the ketchup issue. Although k’vodah was only able to find out that they use Hellman’s Mayonnaise, it gives my mother great insight, ke’ilu we got the info of ketchup i’m saying.

    4) Sheyeish Mafalton shel Resho’im

    5) Thank you Shloimie for impersonating united water, and looking into the picture situation in the Weissgardenfeld home.

    6) I was not able to find out if they wear Egyptian cotton by the seder, But even more valuable info, I called Charles Tyrwhitt yesterday, and they confirmed that shipments have been made to Weissgardenfeld in Monsey NY before Pesach @ 29.90 USD a shirt.

    7) A chaver of mine told me that he learns in the night kollel with a chaver of the general of practitioners in the us. something.

    8) First I found out that the rov in monsey holds not to dress up in themes on purim. Then I found out that the Weissgardenfels were cheroke indians over purim. I’m not clur yet what to do yet.

    9) When I arrive to their house, i will ask to use the bathrooom. If they have cleenex tissues, I will confront them. (I’m a head on problem solver, and down-to-the- issues person. A person also has to know when to be a kano’i like pinchus)

    10) I do not know yet whether they learn torah with proper derech eretz.

11)As far as if she knows yiddish, i will stick it in the conversation. Ill say, “I don’t want to nudge you to say a shtickle toireh, but I feel it’s like a tumult. Just kibbitzing” I will ask her on the date.

-As a tip to all other bochurim in shidduchim, there is a problem since half the date is in the car, and you don’t see any facial expressions during the conversation, (e.g., when you get up to hilchois gittin, does she wince, etc.) I turn the rear-view mirror down and to the right so we can have face to face conversations while i’m driving. This is extremely efficient, and cuts the actual dating time in half, so once you are by the destination, you can drive right back.

-As an aside, by the time this goes to print, I have called the shidduch off at the end when it was confirmed that they use plastic-ware by shalashudis.

Nu Nu thats life abi melebt, vi nisht vi there are always other dates. ain mol karpas in saltz vasser v’einmol marror un charoises. Soif kol soif, some day I’ll be in the pictures in the center pages to look bein hasedorim.

Even though Ukraine is more corrupt than Russia on a lower level and the streets are antisemitic, that Russia is invading Ukraine to protect the ‘jewish nationals’ among others, is belied by their 2008 invasion of Georgia. Seems more like power-hunger.

    As far as jewish neutrality,

Remember, that at first, Netanyahu’s reply on Russian involvement in crimea was that he has “too much on his plate” to focus on that issue. Then he came out neutral. This happens months after Netanyahu’s historic visit to Russia,

There is a theory that Putin may have promised Israel of Russian involvement in an attack on Iran’s nuke facilities on last resort. If there’s one thing putin revels in, its undermining the president of the united states.

A professor who never had failed a student in his life just failed his whole class.

His students had argued with him in favor of social equality, spreading the wealth during a lesson, so he told them he was putting it to test.

He told his students that he would average off test scores.

First exam, the A students studied hard as usual, but they averaged B+. The B and C students averaged B

Second exam, the C students didn’t study because they knew they would average out better anyway. The B students studied as usual, and averaged out B-, the A’s B+ and the C’s C-.

Third exam, The A’s studied little, the B’s even less, and the C’s not at all. The entire class averaged C-.

Fourth exam, the entire class averaged F.

streekgeek- The song is called “Change” on Ari Goldwag’s new CD, Am Echad. (It has a couple of really nice songs.) Here are the Lyrics.

Am I that predictable, is this all I’ll ever be

The words I say, the things I feel, all seem to define me

But aren’t we just reading from a script, we, ourselves wrote

From there we seem to quote, it’s true

When I am acting as myself, and playing out my role

The one thing I must recognize is a lack of depth and soul

Why doesn’t that bird ask itself, ‘Why should I build this nest’

Before it builds the rest, it’s true

    Chorus:

And through the ocean mist I can discern who I will be

Carried by the waves of what’s become my history

And are we really living if we can’t change

If we are merely products of ourselves

There’s got to be a better way

The strongest winds are on the sea of tranquility

The captain of the little ship tries to guide her faithfully

The choices that he makes can’t be the choices he’d just make

But the choices he must make, it’s true

The winds all seem much stronger as I sense this truth inside

But there’s a little secret that can calm this bumpy ride

The paradox is that the more I start to accept

The higher I’ll connect, it’s true

    Chorus

We can find the strength inside to chart a brand new course

We can find the bravery to weather all the storms

No matter what we’re feeling, we can change

We can make something of ourselves

Deep inside, we can find a better way
